yea, i had to get glasses over contacts because 1. my mom was paying for them and 2. she thinks that over time contacts will rip my eye open or something...newayz, while i was reading over ur post (the part about the 15% tint), i was thinkin Pimp my ride.......u Pimped Your Glasses, hehe...my dad has transitions that adjust tint to the amount of light passing through the lens and it makes him look mean....

ah its not that bad. I can't see a damn thing without my glasses. Tried contacts but they were a PITA and bothered my eyes, so I deal with it. I figure in a few years I'll get em fixed. My left eye is so bad the "E" is blurry

If you don't have to wear them all the time that's not too bad. Still sucks though...

I've had glasses since I was in first grade and they were a royal PITA for me because of all the sports that I played and I LOVE my contacts. Hopefully I'll be able to get Lasik in a year or so when I get good medical insurance again...

I prefer glasses over contacts, I just can't stick something in my eye, i've tried and I just cant, plus, I find glasses (the ones I have) compliment my face quite well and hides my deformed nose a bit (from when I was young, its a bit bumpy towards the top, glasses cover it :))

It took me a while to get used to contacts, but to anyone that hasnt tried them, they dont realize how much peripheal vision they are losing out on with glasses.

that is very true with glasses you get a focal point type of vision. where as contacts go around the entire cornea and iris of the eye allowing it to expand it viewing space. though contacts my be irritating once in a while, whey allow you to see everything a bit more clearly and you do not have to worry about having them slip liek glasses. all you have to do is clean (depending on docs orders) and wear them worry free pretty much.

yup...i had glasses...but being from my family....we have no bridge to keep the glasses from falling down all the time...so i switched to contacts....i have my right eye with toric lens and the left with acuvue hydroclear lens and the toric has been bugging me lately ..it's been about 2-3 yrs with contacts and barely ONE starts to bug me....but then again, my eyes do get dry pretty quick...so that might be a factor.

i'm considering on going back to glasses, if i have to because i am going through pink eye right now and i've been half blind (my right eye, the one with the pink eye...no contacts in em cuz doc said not to put it back in yet) and my parents are freaking out about it ..blaming the contacts...of course...
