regular ranges from 2.36 to 2.70 right now depending on where you drive and/or live.

dude weather, cars and military (was one of my hobbies, hehe but now i'm actually in it) are my hobbies. for some reason i have always liked weather so its cool. hurricanes tornadoes are things i like. i don't like to be in them but i like they way they look in radar and stuff.Sorryfor going off topic but this storm and gas price always go the bad way in some areas and places where as others stay the same.

so far i've seen regular sitting @ 2.59 as the avg price while premium is ranging from 2.79 to 2.83 at the moment... I assume we'll see it go higher as the time passes today and tomorrow.

Gas was 2.65 when I filled up Sat. night. I haven't been out and about today though. Last I saw though the price of a barrel of gas had risen about $1.50 so price hikes will start coming. That raise was even before the damage reports about how many miles of oil line were damaged in the Gulf. We could be in for a hell of a few months w/ gas prices.

Thank God rolla's get crazy mpg.

Do you think with this hurriacane that blasted the south it will effect the overall economy? I know gas will rise a bit just in time for the holiday weekend. Does this effect the way u live now?

We'll be fine. Saudi Arabia is being cooperative and letting us get more oil from them to help with what we lost during the storm. It shouldn't take all that long to get back to where we should. Few months tops.

Oh...I also heard today that people in Venezuala are paying only 12 cents for a gallon of gas. I guess thats what you get when you are an oil producing power house...luckies.

it will def effect the economy.....1/3 of the gas coming into the united states comes from the lousiana area. Plastics, styrofoam and any other oil based products will go up (many things are made from oil other than gasoline). Also transportation cost will go up which will effect anything that is tranported to a store which is EVERYTHING. When prices go up the economy slows down.

Also since there has been so much damage many insurance companies that can't pay all there clients will likey go belly up and definetely effect the economy.

There will be shortages across the nation in concrete wood and many other building materials because of this disaster which will tend to cause prices of these items to go up.

gas prices are the only thing bothering me but that is it for now. today we just got a 15 rise from 2.36 to 2.51 that is the lowest i have seen so far for regular. i am sure ot will effect the economy but in ways that some civilians don't really pay attention to. but for others it will make a big difference in thier funds.

Luckily we haven't pissed off everyone in the world yet. Saudi Arabia has said they are going to help w/ the oil crisis economists are saying will happen. Furthermore, I was reading some article today...I think on CNN.com...and experts were saying the hurricane is merely going to be a speed bump in the economy and not actually hurt it in the fashion the media has portrayed it too. Basically that the economy is on a slow but steady rise, and this will only distract it for a brief period of time. If you looked at the stocks yesterday all 3 main ones (DOW, NASDAQ, S&P 500) were all on the rise.

Shouldn't be as bad as we all think.
