yes, most sellers want you to buy things that wont work on your car. its a marketing ploy.

the celica gt/mr2 spyder head are the same. 00-05 for the years. just in 03-05 the intake manifolds were switched to drive by wire. so stick to the 00-02 for the parts. the actual valves are larger on the celica/mr2 heads. i want to say its .5mm larger stock than the 00-08 corolla and matrix heads. the 98-99 corolla has the same size valves. dont ask me why toyota made the vvti corolla heads with smaller valves, i cant answer that because i just dont know.

for the exhaust, i am going to be using these:
    resonator:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Univers...Parts_Accessories&hash=item35bad3e7e4&vxp=mtr

    muffler:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Forza-U...Parts_Accessories&hash=item27cc854848&vxp=mtr

now, i know alot of people like magnaflow, but i have used these mufflers before with great results, i chose a straight through muffler for a more aggressive sound. but i did have a different one a long time ago. it was a oval and they provide much better sound dampening for inside the car.

the one i used to have:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-Forza-U...Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c301e1196&vxp=mtr

that one will tuck up nicely and not look funky if you mount it correcly. im picky on how my exhaust looks. right now i dont have an exhaust at all. its just oem piping and a oem resonator, gutted car and a turn down where the muffler used to be. surprisingly it is almost silent at idle, but drones and sounds god awful (imo).

as for the intake stuff, for the silicone couplers i like to get them from www.siliconeintakes.com they have just about any coupler you could want and at decent prices.

the velocity stack is a blox piece:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLOX-Univer...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f10422442&vxp=mtr

    k&n filter:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/K-N-Cold-Ai...Parts_Accessories&hash=item232777c7db&vxp=mtr

fyi, offer 29 bucks. he should take it.
and then lastly the metal pipe is for a wrx intake.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-DIY-AIR...Parts_Accessories&hash=item2328008a9a&vxp=mtr

if you need emissions hooked back up, just t them into the brake booster line. all in all,

Nice ima have to try that, will it have the connection for the air sensor? looks like yours does, i dont wanna throw any CEL's. and when it comes to piecing together my own exhaust what size resonator would you recomend? i seen from 14 inches all the way to 18 inches. Im either gonna go with a vibrant or obx muffler since im ballin on a budget for now lol What would i need to get to replace the cat and o2 sensor? Like i said i wanna do everything i can not to throw a CEL. How bout a flex pipe? Sorry for all the questions like i said never done a custom exhaust lol Thanks again for the info.

Exaclty which couplers did you use from www.siliconeintakes.com?
And yeah im picky about my exhausts to i dont like the bumble bee fart sound and i like em tucked under the car nice not hanging down pointing towards the ground. Most mufflers i see on corollas are angled pointing to the ground for some reason.

Trust me. They look great with stock taillights. Or even better, red them out or buy some of my custom clear corners.
