i was wondering the best way to hook up fog lights. i have an 01 LE. i think i found the wires that would go to the stock fogs, if i had them. is there a way i can use the stock wiring to hook up the fogs? preferibly id like the fogs to come on automaticly when the lights come on.

I would have to say wire them up to a switch so u have control over them and so they don't go off when ur highs come on so then u'll have more light output in those situations like fog, snow etc

wire the power wire that should go into a switch into the fuse for ur headlights

just use the standard Bosch Relay aux light wiring.

Battery-> inline fuse -> Relay pin 30
Relay Pin 87 -> + terminal in fog lights
- terminal in fog light -> ground
then
"parking light" + tap -> Relay pin 85
Relay pin 86 -> 12V switch in cabin (+ terminal)
12V switch in cabin (- terminal) -> ground

also...is there a way to make it so when i hook it up to the headlights the fogs dont turn off when the brights are on?

This way your fogs turn on only when your parking lights (corners) are on. and turn off when your parking lights are off. and you still have a seperate switch to turn fogs on/off. So they will be on as long as your parking light is on..

thats the way im giong to do that . that way the lights are on whenever im driving ,which is way i want it. as long as the fogs dont start blinking when i turn on the turn signal

Nah your corner lamps are dual filiment. so there should be 3 wires in the harness going into the bulb socket.
1) Parking Lamp (+)
2) Signal (+)
3) Ground (-)

I am not exactly sure what color wire you need to tap on the corner light, simple trial and error with a test light, multimeter or VOM would help you find it.. but off the top of my head I believe ground is White with black stripe, so that would narrow it down to two.

i got the fogs in. i hooked them up to the parking light. they work great thanks for the help

be careful they might burn out the fuse try and go about 5 amps higher on the fuse rating.

it might be best/safer to use a relay and a dedicated power wire for the fogs, the wiring for the parking lights really weren't designed to handle the load of a ~55W fog light. It might be fine but better safe than sorry.

i did use a relay. it came with the fogs
