    Well, seeing as how hackers have foiled Microsoft's plans to scan peoples system to check for a valid copy of windows is installed, you can still get the updates from Microsoft themselves. I never update my machine. So, It doesn't bother me.

    i couldn't update my one computer for a while because of an invalid key...but i changed it to a valid key with help of a little program called "magical jelly bean" it's awesome for changing your key
