umm who ever disses u when u talk about Kuhmos means they're jealous cause they're too poor to afford them cause Kuhmos are and have been rated one of the top tire brands for performance next to big companies like Bridgestone and Michelin dood so I wouldn't say they're bad plus most out there use them too.

Kumho is the one of the most widely used tires in autox amongst hoosiers and falken. Street Touring classes typically use Kumho Escta MX and Falken Azenis. The Falkens has a heavier and more beefy sidewall but the Kumhos has better traction because they can handle higher temperature without getting greasy after every run... also they typically lasts longer. I have tried both the Falkens Azenis RT215 and Kumho MX and I could honestly say they are about even in comparison.

The Kumho V700 and V710 can be seen in many cars running street prep and up along side with Hoosiers and they do hold their own.

But as for the Kumho street tires, I have never tried them nor am I planning to. Reason being the Falken Ziex 512 are so damn cheap, unless they plan on doing a simple re-design and jacking up the price for those like they did with the Azenis.

I'm running Proxes 4's too :) I like them pretty well. They don't grip in a corner like my Yokahama's did before them. But they were a softer tire and wore out faster. Anyways. Robble-robble-robble :)

kumho's are a soft compound tire wheras Falkens are a medium to supersoft. the Azenis are a medium compound. the Ziex's are a supersoft compound. you get this usually according to the tire ratio, size, trac rating, PSI and and weight handling. Kumhos have a good trac pattern but with semi weak side walls. This allows for more flexing and allows the tire to turn with the car. Harder sidewalls keep the rim from "hitting" the floor or road.there are more things but blah i am getting a bit tired right now.

besides tread life and wet performance, i cant tell the difference between a good or bad tire, the only other tires ive ever used besides wanli are whatever the hell the steelies came with (4 different brands)

what exactly defines a good tire?
