    Yup - AE101 are JDM or other overseas markets, AE102 is North American market.

    That would be incorrect sir. I have a USDM 1997 Corolla and my chassis code is an AE101, Ill take pics if you would like.

    correct me if I'm wrong...
    but a AE101 has a 1.6L 4afe engine
    and the AE102 has a 1.8L 7afe engine....

    to be sure, check your code on your driver side door panel....

    I think this is correct, cause I have a 1.6 and a AE101 code and my friends Rolla has a 1.8 and a AE102 chassis code. :D

    just to clarify the 1993 model DX (like mine..hehehe) had 115 hp. In 1995 they reduce the output to 105 to comply with stricter emissions....but I only have 115 in torque..bleh...
