Usually I don't like smoked anything...but to be honest...I don't think it'll look half bad with your car. It would probably look like crap if you had a different paint color than black. But since you do...it just looks like you're trying to soften the appearance of the rear end instead of having the bright contrast between white and black. My dad has a 04 Lincoln LS V8 black on black with 18in chrome wheels...looks amazing, but the bright CT license plate really looked like crap in the back, so he bought a smoked cover for it and it really makes the back of the car much nicer.

BTW...I only think it makes you a ricer to smoke stuff if you don't have a black car.

Also...what kind of rims are those 5 spokes in your sig??? I like em!

And who the hell cares if you are?!?! If you think it looks good, then its your car, with your touch to it. You make it what you want it to be and if people say sh*t about it...just burn em with the 50 shot...then they can really get a look at the smoked tails...haha. I painted parts of my interior...according to most of the people on here it makes me a ricer. I did it cause I was bored...it cost me like 30 bucks to do...and it gives the inside a little bit of my touch. I appologize about the ricer comment though...its really just too general a term....someone should really define it better.

I like how they look as 14's actually...I don't think big rims look that good on the corolla...just my opinion....that's why I liked yours

yeh the tails are the only thing that's really bright. And I really want to do something to the rear because its the part that looks uber stock.
I have JDM smoke housing headlights, gunmetal rims, exterior painted graphite grey, and even a black pearl emblem from a Camry SE.

I got the idea from saab actually, the way the white part of their tails are always smoked.. looks kinda nice.

The thing is the film is kinda pricy

I'd do it just to try it out if it was 5 bucks or something.. but for $30 I just felt like getting some opinions beforehand.

nah, jspex, i would keep it as is....i mean ur car is already a smoked color and your tail lights set ur cars rear end off really nicely....but thats just my opinion....i just dont like headlights or tail lights that are smoked or when they're the same color as the car....

thanks for the input guys. I decided to just leave it as is unless I can get it done for around $5 and I can easily remove it if i dont like it. Its hard to know exactly how dark the smoke film is so I dunno how dark to ps the pic, but i definately dont want it super dark/black.

I think you should smoke only your reverse lights -slightly, just enough to match your turn signals. They're too white for my taste.
