    battling sport compact profiling

i got a speeding ticket in june while driving my old mirage that was completely unwarranted. the officer didnt clock me or even look at me until i was 100 ft away, and then he waived me over and gave me an estimated 72 in a 55 (probably just cuz i had rims on my car). there was no way that i was speeding. Today, i went to court to fight it, and i found that after i received the ticket the cop added to the carbon copy that he also clocked me which he didnt. so tommorow i'm going to the DMV to get the original ticket to bring to court and get the officer in trouble for forgery/lying to a judge/or falsifying records. anyone feel free to chime in, but in my book, if i win, this is gonna be another crooked tuner-hater cop off patrol. wish me luck if you agree.

haha "sport compact profiling" lol, that is true.... many cops automatically assume were out to no good, but let me stop before i get flamed...

anyway...are cops even supposed to write down on the initial ticket wether they "clocked" you or not? if thats not the case then youre wasting your time.

nah theyre required to. there are check boxes that say estimated/radar/lidar. and theyre supposed to check them off so that the court will know what happened. the actual cops dont show up anymore. just their court guy does. he just reads the tickets.

Way to put your foot down on this issue. There are too many people out there that let cops away with things like this.

did the cop check off estimated? or did he leave it blank?

either way, get that ticket and prove them wrong

he 1st only checked off "estimated". which i suppose is valid cuz he can estimate anything he wants - its not an accurate measurement or anything and the court would throw it out. then he added "clocked" to the CC after he already handed me the original ticket which only said estimated. i dont think the court will let something like this slide since a ticket is a court record, and if the CC and original dont match, means that he tampered with court records. i didnt bring the original, so the judge dropped the ticket price cuz the CC said i was clocked. i'm gonna contest it tho and get that asshole in trouble so he wont harass anyone else. and for the record i know i wasnt speeding cuz the GPS in my car confirmed my speed when he pulled me over.

You should have kept the original ticket anyway.

yea, in oklahoma, they hand you the original ticket, and below your original ticket are like two or three other different colored copies....either way, if i got this correctly, he handed you the top (original) ticket that was already marked estimated then he marked that he clocked you speeding on the other copies....that is a pretty major thing, they'll probably have him under some type of investigation or something....also, you should get the news involved...i like to see nothing more than the citizens show the whole local area how flawed the system can potentially become....
