I like the car though dude, for a civic it's clean. Just needs more of a drop. Believe It or not but for a civic you can get a crappy set of 70 dollar sleeves that make it look like Coilovers.

No......... springs are how stiff it is, how much the car moves on bumps, how quickly it moves up and down (ie bouncing). The dampening is what stops the springs from moving/bouncing, ie.... it dampens.

/having trouble dumbing it down even more

The spring rate is the cause of rider bounce when combined with bad struts.

Just making sure you know that the springs are what absorb bumps and things in the road (and stiff springs will give you a bouncy ride) and that the job of the struts is to keep the bouncing under control. Just making sure you get it.

Ricer bounce is caused by stiff springs and bad struts.

    Get it?

    Good.

    Ricer bounce.

    Fuck you gold.

    Struts.

Yeah you don't get ricer bounce on stock springs so much (with blown shocks) because they aren't as stiff. But you can have any springs you want, it's the shocks that ultimately determine ricer bounce.
