Why not go with a ram-style manifold than that log-type?

this one is a good one with a external wastegate already to go, internal is cool and all but i personally like when the waste gate dumps

not enough room behind a 8th gen 1zz for a tubular manifold.

Looks good, sized for T25 + 38mm gate? Should be running nicely esp. if you get vvt-i tuned properly. Manual or Auto?

You mean the sound of an open wastegate? Either internal or external, you should really be recirculating it through your exhaust. Huge exhaust leak at the manifold when at full boost? No thank you :D

Then the step after "make room" is "make manifold." LOL

Well i am going to do a tial 38mm external wastegate with a Garrett GT2860rs. but i have a 8th gen not 8.5(non-vvti)

Also i am gonna have a "dump tube" to the floor.

I believe the ram manifold is the tubular manifold I was talking about. Either way, I don't know if your log style one fits our car either. zze110s have some of the worst exhaust to firewall clearance out of 1zz powered cars.

I highly recommend recirculating your wastegate outlet instead of just dumping it. Dump is easy, but very smelly and loud (not the sexy kind) on a 1zz non vvt-i. If you're in Cali then it will also be very conspicuous to the cops.

That manifold won't work. Just sayin. You need to do an over/under with the turbo/wastegate respectively in order to fit it all in. The only room you have to exit is off the passenger side for primary exhaust then mate the dump tube to the exhaust on it's way center if you so wish. Open wastegate on the corolla is nasty sounding though, just FYI. If I had to do it all over again, I would go internal w/g. To date, I think I'm one of a very few set of individuals who successfully kept a turbo rolla running for many miles after boosting. Trust me when I say, there is only one way to do it properly.

Thank you !! so will that turbo work with this manifold? and also is that a good turbo for the car? if you have a manifold in mind that would be great help!

Angle's wrong on that... basically you want the turbo sitting vertical directly behind the valve cover. Log manifold, turbo spaced just barely enough to clear the valve cover and angled with the engine so when it all moves under torque it doesn't start slappin shit. You'll have to kill one of the heat shields just so ya know. :)

Had to weld up mine on my own... here's where I got my parts from: http://jgsturbo.com/index2.html

For the turbo, use a T3 Super 60 or a GT28RS (disco potato). The potato will spool up a little quicker but will spike a little more unless you're running a good electronic boost controller. The Super 60 you can run with whatever controller. Both are solid turbo's that will give you what you're looking for. Don't skimp on the ignition & fuel control and supply... that's where you'll pay the ultimate price. :)

I ran a Greddy eManage (blue with all optional harnesses) on my ride, 525cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump and fuel rail upgrade. All parts you can get from Monkey Wrench Racing. I attached the manual I wrote for the e-Manage... standard disclaimer applies. :)

Cool, So i am gonna most likely go with the turbo i showed (Garrett t3, .48 trim) W/Internal Wastegate, and i found out obx makes a manifold fo our cars with a external waste gate(I will just get a external waste gate block-off) Link below:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-T3-Turb...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3367240245&vxp=mtr

Note: I noticed it is clocked so that the turbo is a bit closer to the engine, which i think is good, since james says its really tight from the engine to the firewall
