    So i had a few small pieces that i did not have for the S conversion so what is the cheapest way to complete it? paint, and you want to paint it the right way.

    Here is my air bag cover, im not going to buy a black air bag just for the cover so i decided to paint mine...
    You want to clean it very well, just use soap and water...

    I heard some pretty good stuff about this paint, even in the sun...some guy said its been on his car for over 2 years now. Its very good for plastic, no sanding required. Remember to shake well.

    You want to make sure you paint does not spit, cuz you want pro shit!

    First coat, make a sweeping motion at least 8 inches from target, apply your first coat

    Wait at leat 15min then come back and apply a second coat

    3rd

    That should be fine, you can apply clean coat or not but i did

    dry after 2 hours...can says you should be fine to wet sand after 1 hour

    Wet sand bitch, lightly

    You should have used carpet&vinyl paint like I said.... that is for softer parts, the Fusion paint you used it good on hard parts. Although now that I remember, I don't think the airbag is too soft, so it should be fine. It's the arm rest inserts that got real sticky after using Fusion paint.

    lol i read what you posted after i had already gotten the paint...but it is pretty hard the air bag cover

    Ill add to this thread later saturday with the primer/paint version...its more prep but its actually stronger i think

    Yeah, it is slightly harder... and one one really touches it anyway.

    So, you painted it from what looks like tanish to gray? I thought you were putting in a black dashboard.

    Color blind? Gray isn't a color.....and all those pics look WAY gray to me, especially without the flash.

    I've found that paint on the interior scratches too easily. So, I was determined to buy a car with a black interior lol. Or else, dye it professionally.

    Good job on the paint. I have my s interior in but a few pieces are still tan.
    I was thinking of doing plastidip, but this paint matches the dash pretty well.

    Well here is more pictures of the painted stuff...I let these bake in the sun for a whole day and applied 3 coats of paint and 2 clear coats...I asked my girlfriend to scratch it an nothing chipped/peeled off, its amazing.

    BTW this is satin black, avoid the glossy black....its too shiny

    Yeah, those a pillars are black. And it shows how gray the dashboard is.

    But I didn't use clear coat, maybe that's why the paint scratched. BTW I'm not talking about flaking off, just scratches in the paint itself.

    im guessing due to the sun over those 10 years? its fine with me cuz it looks black. clear coat does alot on paint

    That was actually dirt i still have not wiped down, going to clean it up monday morning

    Well mine is 10 years old also, and it's still black. That's the dashboard you just swapped in? But hey, if that paint on the a pillars is the same paint on the airbag, then the dash must also match. Must just be the light.

    Im guessing this one stayed in the sun a little too long and faded? IDK its you gold it all looks black to me

    yes, its the s dash...once im done swapping everything ill take better pictures...Im still installing red LED on the hvac, and a new stereo since ive been rockin the oem for the longest time already
