Hi guys Im back, and with a new flavour. I call her Marshmallow, Some of you may remember me from such episodes as Green Steelie goes home
    [IMG]

but its not about her anymore , its about someone I call Mashmallow
    [IMG]

So lets start off with the goods

    She's an ae112-r 2001 model
    engine: 1.8 ltr 7afe
accesories so far: 2 inch cat back with twin tip muffler

Suspension: stock except strut bar from my old car

wheels: 15 inch steelies carried over from old car (not green anymore)

Ice: Pioneer cd head deck and maybe aftermarket speakers , I haven't looked yet

Body Mods: front lip from old car, 5% tints and blue/white 500k bulbs

So I got it home and though front lip and so here's what happened
    before:

    After:

then i got sick of driving a fish bowl and everyone seeing my buisness, so a call to my cousin and he hooked me up with 5% tints

    before
    [IMG]

    during:

    all done
    [IMG]

then it was time for some more mumbo, these cars are really quite and you have to look down at the tacho to tell if your over reving cause you dont hear it

2 Inches please with a twin tip on the sides

arrr thats better but one trip with the wife in the car caused me to get a resonator put in to quiten it down, shame, cause it had a awsome crackle when you backed it off the throttle.

just abit of fun with some tyre shine. White wall tyres heheheh

Then it was time to add some contacts to her Eyes, so we ditched the mellow yellow, and put in 500k blue/white bulbs
    before:

    After:

and my favourite photo, something quite innocent about it

then it was time to look for wheels and I really liked these

but at $1650 each, i was like Errrrrrmmmmm , Ill think about it thanks

so it was then time to think about lowering her down and I picked up a rear set of Lovell super low springs brand new for $80, normally there double that, so ill just have to get the front set and ill be sorted.

And then a dyno day came up and she pulled

71.6 KW atw i was pretty happy with it, highest ive seen for a 7a is 77KW atw

and I said to my wife

I then decided to build my own intake manifold using tuned measurements to increase my torque lower in the rev range, so i cut up a spare manifold and while i was levelling it out I had gone to far and had sanded into the port where the injectors sit in. Damm

so i grabed another and just told myself , last chance

so thats better, i then grabed some sections of pipe to get welded on

    and all done

So i was pretty happy with how it came out, and could not wait to test fit it but some wheels had come up that i liked and i snapped them up

but a trip on the hwy told me that they were terribly unbalanced and after getting them re-balanced from another tyre shop there were enough to persuede me to get rid of them and put my steelies back on.

    So back to the manifold

Top half of the plenum removed , not to dirty for 150,000km, but a few pools of oil

I took me at least 1.5-2 hours just to get the old one out ARRRRRRRRHAAAA

    somethings missing
    [IMG]

And then Womp Womp, she dont fit

So i think what ill do is cut a wedge out were you see the red lines and then weld that together to change the angle of the runners. If it lifts up more it should clear the firewall, but i might need a bonnet scoop as it will probably hit the bonnet. So yer there you go thats Marshmallow. I hope you like her and feel free to ask any questions on the manifold, Im happy to answer them

was expecting ITB's but making longer runners with the stock plenum might help. i have my doubts as far as power gains.
