Help! 93-97 rolla

so i wanted to do a rear drum con. to disk i was looking on some threads here but they were from 2008 and so ...ya thought maybe there was some things out there ....

was thinking of getting a ae92 rear calipers rotors and outer control arm should be mostly direct bolt on..would great if i could get some help

everything is bolt on except the trailing arm (I think thats what its called)

You need to get both 8th/7th and 6th gen and have them custom welded...

try and go to some small welding place as they tend to not charge that much or a local muffler shop and they can have it done for under $20 or so...

i got mines done here by the same guy ive been getting my welds done for the past 5 years and thats what he charged me.

I'm about to do the conversion myself, just waiting for the part on the mail, ill prob do a quick write up since i haven't seen one on the internet for the 7th/8th gen

can a wilwood one be used for this?

I dont see why not,I ended getting the legit valve off a corolla part out on T.N

i can only find the ae86 one, i dont think its compatible?

gold look at the arms, they are different from the 7th and 8th gen.....you should know, you had a 7th gen

but i thought 7th and 8th have the same suspension so why would it be different, you guys are fucken confusing me

88-92 toyota did a FWD gts and SR5 but only the gts had the rear disc and thats what im using....by the looks of it the ae86 uses brake shoes and the ae92 does not, anyone correct me if im wrong?

Yea mine was a direct bolt on but here is a picture of mine (Not mine but the ones i used) All i needed was the proportioning valve form a ae92 gts and i was good

i think i got one from the older gts....because mines look like the ones i posted and 1nicetrd might have gotten a newer one when they changed it to the different grab on thing...compare mine with his....they are different bolts but the same shit well for .99cents + shipping and handling i cant complain

IDK when i get them i can take a closer look at what i have then i will post pictures here guys

Mine are from the ae111 levin rear disk, So i didn't need any modifications at all

it wasn't that they were old ...they were very helpful but i was wondering if there were any new methods

were can i find some in the states or did you have to get them imported

those that i showed are from AE92 1992 the ones i bought....and ill be glad to do a write up, my disc right now are in texas, they are on there way from the other side of the country

and the ae111 i think those are JDM and will be hard to get the rotors since it wasn't sold here? 1nicetrd should know

cool and ya i wish i could get my hands on a levin ...hmm think its time for a trip to the junk yard hopefully i find a ae92 ...how much did it cost for parts??

my local junk yard i think they go for under $100 both sides....but i got mines for .99 on a ebay auction LOL check out my thread

It actually isn't that bad getting a new set since i got the brembo part number i can order them from rockauto. but shipping is a more, but i end up paying like $150 for them.

nice hmm hopefully i can find them on ebay save a couple bucks lol
