k so it stopped overheating and have the cooling system all good and ok but now its idling at like 3k rmps. I don't thinj its the computer because when i took off the IACV for leaning it was NASTY in there and the piston/shaft was stuck open. Shouldn't it be closed it there is now power to it? I also unplugged the IACV sensor while the car was running and the idle didn't change, making me think it's stuck open.

yaaaa screw that drive, im actually north of Sac a little soo thats a little far. I almost prefer buying new when it's something like a sensor or intricate part like the IACV. thanks for looking though.

Quick question, did you have to change your radiator hose when doing the swap?
Been doing research and all of the swap threads and information I have gathered is different.
i would just go in and try to figure it out myself but i can't go without a car for long so i wanted everything figured out before.

I found a right angle hose to run from the upper radiator and just coupled it with the existing one.

Got the new IACV and it runs and idles great, but my idle screw rattled out so now it drops down to like 500-600 and idles rough. Need a screw.

I tried, with all the sensors and my wiring harness running through right there it was easier just to go over.

Ill take a valve cover, like the metal one that covers your valves.

so the injen intake for a 9th gen will fit a 8th gen as long as you relocate the battery etc. I dont want to waste money and a short ram that will only suck in hot air...that is all i keep finding for a 8th gen

good luck finding an 8th gen CAI....9th gen CAI will fit but you need to cut a bigger hole where the stock intake resonator is at...relocate the battery as well

Build your own CAI... its not that hard and there are multiple ways to do it. Plus you can choose your own tubing size. 8th gens don't have after market CAI's.
