ok, compared to the bright red thats still on the center console, do you guys think the dark red looks better(driver side vent(not done) piece around gauges and the trim around shifter)

If you're going to go with red, go with bright red. The darker color looks drab.

well, i originally was takin teh paint off with paint stripper, but that made the plastic all wierd, so i had to sand it smooth and repaint it...this is just temporary till i get new pieces inside and nothing will be painted...

mine came in some sand colour and wood dash trim kit, the car wasn't mine, the center piece clear coat was badly abused, so I chipped off the worse part of the center (about some 60% of the clear) and the taped up everything, and passed it 8 coats of clear it looks WAY better than before...

/\ as long as its the REAL one and it matches the interior (beige + aluminum might look shitty) theres alot of cheap ass kits on ebay and such that are vinyl, theyre gonna look like just that....vinyl, spend the $$ and get the actual aluminum kit

Here's a sample of my paint job using a silver textured paint and a metal flake black for other parts; looks mutch better in real life than in photo.
I liked the way the silver metal color contrasted against the earthly beige of interior:

I used the silver on the right. To keep the same color scheme, copper may be the way to go, could give that wood like look:

    - Parts were soap washed, dryed and cleaned with mineral spirits (use rubber gloves to handle parts after cleaning)
    - base coat of gray primer
    - 1 coat of paint
    - 3 coats of clear

looks pretty clean...but id think a carbon fiber scheme would looka little better with the beige

brushed aluminum really stands out on a black or grey interior since its such a perfect contrast
