    New Seats Installed... Hell Jeah!

Woo Hoo, my oober seats are finally installed. I had to learn how to weld to get it done :) Today we built the Drivers side bracket out of steal we picked up in seattle and they are super strong. I drove my car home after installing the last seat and I have never felt so race car driver like in my life. These seats hug you so hard! I'm extremely happy with them and recommend them to anybody. Plus the simulated leather is way cool. Anyways enjoy the pics.

Thanks, I totally love them. Since I first bought the car I always thought the stock seats kind of sucked. I didn't like getting shoulder slammed into the door and the center column going around hard corners. Now these seats GLUE ME IN PLACE. Plus you can't beat the price $322 shipped from eBay :) That and 2 days to learn how to weld and fabricate strong brackets for them since I couldn't find brackets to put these in my car to begin with.

Those seat covers would not make a good match for the seats I just picked up. I think I'll just goto an apolstery shop and get a quote to match the back seats to the front.

Barnacules, you should do a DIY for the seat brackets, if you have the photos.
Were you using your original seat rails or sliders?
Did you weld the metal braces in the car?

I should do a DIY. Basically I took the old seat brackets off with a sledge hammer because toyota didn't give me any choice them I welded some braces between them and bolted them to the seat then bolted them to the car. So nothing is perminant but my original seats were pretty much destroyed to make the brackets. They are rock solid though.

They are eBay brand, And they are damn high quality IMO. The sliders are kinda cheap but with that aside the seats themselves are very high quality and the vinyl they use is super thick.

I also got a pair of eBay seats, all black fake leather (thick also) with red stitching. Did not want to get fabric seats, they tend to trap dirt/dust, stain and wear quicker.
Just need to find a way to mount them without buying the seat brackets that run around $60-$80 each.

imo those look ugly, but whatever floats your boat

the black padding doesn't match the seat, it's just there..

I might get some new belts but I'm not sure if I really want to go with the 4 point setup. I mean its cool but kind of a hassle. Also the seats are very comfortable and with my custom brakets they are solid as hell too. You can also get these seats in all black. The vinyl seems very durable and they are really easy to clean. The other day when I was at shucks they were selling this same seat for $159 + tax in all black so it looks like a few auto parts stores have picked them up and not just eBay now. Problem is I still dont have any idea who makes them :)
