Well it seems we have some musicians on this site, so I figure I'd encourage this and hopefully bring ou some sort of "group" out of this. :)

Update on me. Besides being a Percussionist for the last 16 years, (Mostly rudimental/drum corps), I picked up acoustic guitar in December and am haveing a blast with it. My rhythmic control helps me to understand what i'm doing on the strings. :) I have been printing out DMB tabs lately to really give me some challenge, rather than the usual counting crows/hootie that I started on to break away from the monotonous G/C/D chord structure. :) I really like the technical aspect that Dave's music has, as well as being remarkably musical.

Oh, ok also in my ramble. I noticed an error on guitartabs.cc with #34. I was playing it like this:

    E|---------|---------|---------|
    B|---------|--76-----|---------|
    G|-----9-6\|-7--4-7--|---------|
    D|--9-7-4--|0------0-|---------|
    A|-7-5-----|---------|7--7--9--|
    E|5--------|---------|---------|

But, when I saw Dave play in WestPalm, I noticed that it seemed that he did not go down on the neck to 4 and 6, yet was getting that sound. On DMBtabs.com, they show the 4 and 6 actually as the 7th and 9th frets, but on strings 4 and 5 rather than 3 and 4. :) This makes it much easier to play. There are a few other differences that make more sense.

Oh well that's my rambling for "meow" :) lol

    New Tabs I'm learning:
    DMB
    What Would You Say
    Satellite
    Typical Situation
    Lover Lay Down
    Jimi Thing
    #34
    Crash Into Me
    Lie In Our Graves

    Led Zeppilin
Over the Hills and Far Away

I can give you the correct tab, according the pat, the guy on that website that I posted in the other thread.

Check out www.dmbtabs.com for the correct ones.

Dave makes his own chords too, lol

yeah dude thanks. Lay it on me.

Ive got down Evanescences My Immortal...this has some tough transitions, but its not too hard to pick up on. Here are the chords:

C#m is my tough spot, holding down all the strings on the 4th fret in addition to 3 other strings. F#m isnt too bad, its full 2nd fret and two strings

My Immortal ( acoustic version )
    Artist: Evanescence

    Intro:(A C#m)2X

    A C#m
I'm so tired of being here
    A C#m
suppressed by all of my childish fears
    A
and if you have to leave
    C#m
I wish that you could just leave
    A
because your presence still lingers here
    C#m
and it won't leave me alone

    Pre-CHORUS:
    F#m C#m
These wounds won't seem to heal
    F#m C#m
this pain is just too real
    F#m C#m E
there's just too much that time cannot erase

    CHORUS:
    F#m D E C#m
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
    F#m D E C#m
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
    F#m D E C#m
And I've held your hand through all of these years
    F#m D E A C#m A C#m
but you still have all of me

    Just like the first verse
    A C#m
You used to captivate me by your resonating light
but now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
your voice it chased away all the sanity in me

    Pre-CHORUS

    CHORUS

    D F#m E D
I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
    F#m C#m
but though you're still with me
    D E F#m D E C#m
    I've been alone all along

    CHORUS
