How about you take out those HIDs lol.

But I believe that cluster is hard to find.... like really rare. Ebay is your best bet, if it exists.

Your best bet is to get an add-on tach, usually under $50. It sticks on top of the dash and looks very tacky (pun intended) but it works. You can't really swap the cluster without swapping the dashboard or building a custom dashboard, and then think of the wiring nightmare. I have personally done this before, and it was a lot of work.

The 4age swaps in pretty easily to the 7th gen Corolla... maybe that's what they meant. I thought that there were better swaps for the 8th gen... someone else'll have to say though cause I don't know lol.

gold you got your info wrong the tach cluster clips right in to a non tach-equipped car. if you find one dude it fits perfectly, the only thing you have to do is keep the odometer from the old one and swap it in so you can keep accurate mileage.

wait, what did I say? I never said that the OEM tach cluster doesn't swap right in. Of course it does, it's the same cluster just with a tach. I personally did this to my Corolla. The tach even worked without any wiring. TheMenace asked about installing a tach cluster from a different car, which would definitely not "clip right in". Then we changed the subject to which engine will drop right in....

I didn't see he put custom fit, just find an OEM one from a junkyard, they shouldn't be that hard to find. Your car will still run fine until you get it, it's not like it's a major issue. I wouldn't modify anything else into it though.

The 8th gen corollas are already wired up to accept the cluster with tach. No rewiring or cutting needed. You'll also need a temp sensor to get the outside temperature reading. I have an extra cluster and temp sensor but I forgot whether it is for 98-00 or 01-02. I have both so I can get it tested and find out. PM me if you are still looking for one, or keep an eye out for my for sale thread soon.

I think the cluster I have is made for 01-02. I'll double check when I go home this weekend.
