Nice pics SEIGE, but you're the backup SUVman now since you don't post haha. Press22 is the current SUVman. But hummer that's why I put problem in quotes, because it's not an actual problem, his car is sick.

yep my rims are playing tricks on you. only 16s, maybe its just the low profile tires or something. damn fiberglass kit is getting me in trouble, who wants to come over and help me smash it to bits lol?

I keep thinking about getting tow hooks, def no stickers though. Problem with tow hooks is that all the Civics have them around here and I want to stay away from blending in with them. If i get them, idk if i should get black or red. I could only put one on the front though since there is no room for one on the back due to the blocky rear lip.

yep, same paint mackman. figured I use the rest of the can on the rims. the blue on the rims came out a bit darker than the valve cover though. I guess too many coats of paint or the different painting surface. As mentioned in another thread painting is fun and a learning process.

@Siege: your car looks like it belongs being parked next to the nice Mitsubishi. Nice job

Roach, definitely don't put the tow hooks on. Those things are so riced out. Keep it clean!!

It hink your rims look big because the spokes go all the way to the tires... no lip to break it up.

leave tow hooks to the civics, i agree with gold94corolla, they are riced out...and seriously are people ever going to use them for what they are for?

exactly.... they have a purpose on the track or similar when your car is so low and the existing tow hooks are not accessable.

But now, people throw these cheap ebay towhooks on their car that are not designed properly at all. LOl if the tow truck tried to use it, the car will probably end up destroyed (well and the hook of course) when it snaps or simply isn't bolted on in a good location.

Ouch to the people on here that have tow hooks, but i agree, they serve no real purpose.

Tow hooks can look good, like on CorollaGT's car, but only with the whole package.... slammed, poked rims, roof rack, etc. They identify you with a certain group of drivers. In that "club", they are cool. Otherwise, they are silly lol.

If you put them on, you can fit them through a hole in the bumper. It's the civics that put them on wrong all the time. I'll try to find a pic of one properly put on. You should do it if you want, everyone will always hate and say why we shouldn't do something. I'm sure there are people that told hummer not to paint his wheels every color that he did, and I'm sure that there were people that told gold94 not to rattle-can his Corolla blue after molding in BMW taillights and adding 38 headlight projectors, but they did it anyway. And believe me, just about everyone on here except you is telling me not to paint my car as well, but a couple haters aren't gonna stop me. I say as long as you do it good, you aren't gonna blend in with a bunch of hondaboys. I will be putting some on, because I plan on taking my car to the track next year, but cbass, hopefully NOBODY will have to use them what they are intended for. If your car has to get towed out of a sandpit, then a "JDM yo" tow hook will be a good thing.

1 out of 5 will actually use a tow hook as i see it...i dont plan on taking my corolla to a track so i dont need one so it serves no purposes, also X2 with gold94corolla, they look good only if the car looks as good as corollagt.

I see way too many cheap tow hooks from ebay on shitty looking cars and then they install like 50 of them on there crappy stock everything car

Yo corollagt those aren't whp numbers are they? Because if they are to the crank then you would be around 130whp give or take which is stock power to the crank (to the wheels it probably makes 100whp stock) and if that is whp then you would be making 190 hp to the crank give or take ... Idk why hummer said a type r makes 170 hp to the crank that's what a gsr makes a Type R makes 195 to the crank ... And If your dyno numbers are whp then that would mean you would be making close to what a type r(b18) makes to the crank stock which is impressive considering you have a stock head

But please lmk if it's whp or crank hp

This is what stood out the most to me and the most likely reason as to why I will not be likely to purchase a set for mine. I do like the look of the roof rack and flush rims though.

He was probably on a Dynot jet anyways as apposed to a Mustang dyno, if so then its about 130hp.

Roach, I actually really like your lip kit. I think you should get some Polished XXR 527 16x8 +20 or +0 and some camber bolts to give it a little camber and then cut your tiens in the front to even the car out. I think your car would stand out then.

I remade my tow hooks in 2024 T4 Aluminum and bolted them directly into my bumpers so yes, my tow hooks are usable and have been used.

And I was told that it was measured by the power at the wheels.

Well sadly, when i first got the car it was in rough shape from the beener that owned it last (this was four years ago when I was 16 with even less money than I have now). My DAD and I spend a great deal of money. My dad suggested that I do my own research for the shop and I, cleverly, might I add, suggested PSI. My dad worked some numbers with the guy, and then I worked some numbers with my dad. What we concluded was that I weren't to know what the amount was, and I was going to pay a small percentage of the total. I gave my dad 1000 dollars. Thats all I know to this day. I know they rebuilt the motor from the ground up. All I mustered up the guts to demand was that it was bored out to the biggest size they could. The did exactly 1.9 . I really enjoy my car a lot. When I get it in the right gear, at the right time I can feel it pull pretty hard. Unfortunately since the rebuild 3 years ago, I've let it run dry on oil once *self palm*, hence the drop in hp. Hopefully it hasnt hurt the engine too bad. I really just wanna swap it. enjoy it, decide if i wanna turbo or just i/t/h/e with some tuning. Then do what i decide. I'll probly turbo cuz I really want a blow off valve sound.lol
