with a check? and it was like 14 G's

Or do you mean did it get financed, or bought straight out, or leased and the financed?

May want to clear up the question.

My grandparents bought my 94 corolla for me in high school, because i my parents moved out of the county, and they wanted me to finish out school at my high school.

Bought my 92 gti with cash

Traded in my wifes cavalier to get the passat, financed 22k even for 3 years
Financed my 2000 pathfinder for 4 years,3 thousand down, financed 13k

Refinanced both vehicles through my credit union last year, dropped both payments significantly

That's why I opted to pay all at once and not have to worry about payments and having to pay interest and extras.

that is exactly the reason why I chose not to get a new car..... I'd rather keep mine build it up and then later on get an X-Runner when I'm done or something :D.... like my mom has an A credit and at Toyota with 3 grand down that they were giving me as trade in price for my car and the payment on a XRS was like $320/month and the X-Runner payment was like almost $600 and that's with an A credit.... man I cannot imagine the people that have B and C credit man, unbelieveable

I don't know what credit I have. x-runners are powerful beasts. My mom has one and our family has owned 2 so far.

I love those things man, they run so damn awesome. My plans with that were to S/C that biotch outta the factory but only in payment and insurance it would be close to $1,000 plus gas prices so I guess bike it is for now and a new car later

Yep, it does run really nice. It doesn't get good gas mileage compared to the corolla. Be prepared to get gas at least once every week. Got barely over 200 miles on a full tank on the highway.
