    So this may be a dumb question but my 96 4runner doesn't have DRL (Daytime Running Lights) anybody know how I can install or make it so that I do have DRL??

    you could drill your headlight and wire bulb to turn on when you start the car. i am not an electrical person, but would probably be similar to how fog lights work.

    Why would you drill into the head lights? just install a delay switch thats wired into the head light power cable.

    They sell universal modules that can retrofit any car with DRL capabilities. Intended to run the turn signals, it is pretty simple to have them run your driving lights/fog or headlamps for the DRL lamps.

    Pretty inexpensive as well - about $40 - granted it is not a complicated simple circuit, but having one ready to go is a real time saver.

    There are other vendors out there, this is just one of the least expensive one that I've found on a quick search. A big retailer like JC Whitneys, www.jcwhitney.com, should have something very similar. Ebay is another option for a universal fitment.

    Or if you have fog lights, use those during the day, makes a perfect DRL.
