The armrest is the same colour as the seats, just doesn't look that way in the photos due to the flash. You can see the true colour in the last two shots. The dark plum colour of my interior plastic makes my window tint look darker

It's proving pretty useful so far. Makes me feel a little lazy though, haha. Definitely improves the comfort factor when driving however. I can change from 4th gear to 2nd gear without removing my left arm from the armrest [IMG] (when slowing down, not chopping down the gears to overtake someone, lol).

So that's the red one with the kitty in the older picture? You got that painted quick, looks really nice. Do you have comparison shots from the same angles of before and after?

I see the older bumper in your sig pic but I want a bigger version lol. But I like it better. Are you gonna hold on to the previous bumper if you ever feel like changing the look or is this your permanent look?

Third post in a row: I didn't know you could indent the entire post like that, but it's cool. Did it by accident.

Thanks man. Yep, that's the same bumper as featured in the kitty photo :). It was actually meant to be ready last Friday but my painter got busy with other jobs, so he didn't get around to finishing it until late yesterday, then it headed off to the panel beater to get the lip fitted. Was well worth the wait though . As for the other bumper, I'll be keeping it as a spare and may also get my other front lip fitted to it (exactly the same as the front lip I have on my FX bumper) but I really don't think I'll be changing it over as I love the new look too much :D

Here's some comparison shots of before and after. Taken on different days but these are the closest I could find:

Yeah I was surprised by how well the paint matched, especially considering the original paint is 18-years old.

Here's some shots I took today:

That's the main goal . Will most likely be a finishing touch. Trying to get as many kms out of my low mileage 5A-FE as possible :D

NP Scott and thanks for the compliment. I have learned a lot about Toyota optional parts in your thread. I thought I knew everything there is to know about these cars but this thread is keeping things fresh and interesting. Keep on doing what you are doing[IMG]

    OMG

I reckon in heaven this is the sort of clean, awesome and absolutely stunning types of Corollas you would see driving around.

Either that or St Peter would greet me at the pearly gates, he would promptly hand over the keys to car exactly like Scotts for sure!

Man that car is the envy of anyone who owns or has ever owned a corolla or actually anyone who can appreciate cars in general.

Keep up the great mods Scott, it's always a pleasure to look at your car in detail!

Cheers Wayne. I know what you mean. Just when I think there isn't possibly any more to know about these cars something else pops up and amazes me, haha. Hopefully when I'm done my car will be equipped with every single optional extra available, although due to the extra weight I'd probably need to do a 3S-GTE swap just to get the wheels moving [IMG]

Thanks a lot Jorge. I appreciate it man. I think in my coffin I'm going to have to put that I want to be buried with in my car when I die. At least that way I can be assured that it will be taken care of :D

Here's some photos I went and took today:

altered according to Australian/New Zealand relations Act 1977.

Either that or I might have to wait a while and then hire a big excavator, hey Scott where's the nearest cemetery around your house mate?? LMAO

You should! If you do, come to Auckland and I'll give you a ride in my Corolla :)

Haha, if shipping to the US for a front bumper costs $900 I can only imagine how much it would cost to send a whole car :p

Hahahaha, so you're planning to dig it up and chuck me back in the hole? If you leave my corpse on the back seat it's all yours ;). That way I can keep an eye on you to make sure you don't thrash it, and if you do I'll haunt your dreams forever [IMG]

EDIT: Fuck, it just occurred to me that I had better watch my back now that Jorge has a motive to kill [IMG]

Haha, all of the original photos are able to be viewed on my CarDomain page, so no great loss :). I've been around. Haven't got anything new unfortunately. Just waiting on my new filter and cover for my roof-mounted Air Purifier to arrive from Japan :D. Currently on the hunt for an OEM burger tray (optional extra) and an OEM Clean Box (optional extra).

Haha, I had a feeling you'd say that. It's a tray that sits in the hollow of the dash on the passenger's side. I guess it's called a "burger tray" because it's commonly used to put burgers on [IMG]. It also includes a flip up mirror, which doubles as a small storage compartment.

    Here's some pics:
