    question for a 96 geo prizm 1.8L

i need to know where i can find the following
    the crank pulley
    turbo.
    fuel rail.
i have an matrix front strut bar and coilovers, intake, full exhaust, headers, msd ignition, msd igniter, msd super conductor wires, port polish head and ngk iridiums, fluidyne custom radiator, mobil 1 sytthetic oil w/ Lucas additive, and mobil 1 tranny fluid.
what else can i put that will make if faster, with the exception of nos, absolutely no nos.anything that will make it faster.please

it has no AC system at all, and no bumper supports front and back, for less weight, no spare tire

This is my friends 96 prizm and he wants to know what else there is to make it faster. it runs a 14.6, 110+mph.

please move if in the wrong thread section.thanks Ruben.

14.6@110+? That's pretty good. Tell your friend to post some pics of his setup. The most efficient way to go fast in the 93-97's is to do an engine swap. His other option is to turbo the 7afe and if he wants to go that route, he can wait for Dr. Tweak's kit which, last I heard, is coming out in the spring.

He should look into the 4agze since it's an easy swap, then convert it from super to turbocharged. A 200+ hp swap for 3-4 G's total.

he took out the original 1.6 it came with and put the 1.8 . the reason he did this was because the 1.6 locked up with the nos. I am not sure he wants to wait for spring to put a turbo on his car. but i will let him know.

Well if he doesn't want to wait, he should start contacting JDM engine importers... I just got home from work and I have to be back there in 7 hours, so I'm not thinking straight, but someone on here will chime in with some reputable names.

I really want to see some people do some turbos/swaps in the AE101 so they can be my ginea pig. lol

he wants to keep the engine that he has right now though, that is something i do know for sure. if he can't find anything he will sell the car for 3500 with 94k miles on it.

14.6 at over 110mph with those mods? I dont think so.

I ran that time in my stock wrx @95mph and those mods he has will barely do anything. I don't understand why if you swapped the engine already why you wouldnt have just went with a 4age or 4agze.

Now if I can be a little constructive here... Without changing engines, there are a few more things you could do before using forced induction or nitrous. Bigger throttle body, apexi safc or some other kind of engine management, and just strip the entire interior if faster times is truly what hes looking for.

Yeah, I'm gonna call BS on this one myself. Cadetlee is running a 15.9 in his modified Corolla, he has more mods than listed here and he's a heck of a driver to pull that time.

Heck, the silvertop swap I just finished ran a 16 today...

Actually that's not technically true, quick FWD cars often can run times around 15 seconds but still trap a high MPH over 100, because they can't launch as well.

okay i understand all your opinions expressed but truth be told that is what the car runs, if he has anything else that i have not seen then okay, but i know what he has and what it runs and there is no NOS or turbo or super charger. it may not sound true to you all but it is and even i have a very hard time believing this. The reason he did not go to the other aforementioned engines is because he was able to get the current one off his friend for 100 bucks! BTW the car does not peel out he ran this with the slicks thier M/T. you know what next week when we get to the track i will record his time and timeslip and post on the site and put up the video as well and then you can tell me what you all think. I will also record what the car has and put it up as well.

with my rims the car runs 15.9 each wheel's weight is 22.5 lbs not including the tire!

Yeah 14.6 makes me really think hes lieing, but when you put over 110mph theres just no way.

Get the slip and prove us wrong though I guess.
