Yeah I doubt I will get them now he has a new phone -_- ... Yeah bro it had a healthy motor from a auto Rolla at the junk yard :) I blew the original one ... Well my plans for the 20v is to get full bolt ons which I'm just missing headers then get it tuned after tune it on e85 and when that gets old I'll be building a 1.9 black top 20v 7age on the side Ftw

I think that used to be in the rules section, but now I can't find it... A lot of stuff changed with the new format, like where's all the NSFW threads we used to have? Those were awesome.

    Added: Jul 23, 2011 4:19 AM

Lmao it's straight I was there at one point and I'm still learning ... But yeah the reason you throw on the 7afe block is because it is a bigger displacement you can even bore it out bigger so more displacement = more tq ... It's pretty much like a ls/vtec which is a ls block 1.8 with a vtec head b16/b17/b18 ... And 20v are amazing motors but they are missing that extra tq

Check out this vid 7age corolla vs gsr intgera

Yeah seriously. Even after Japanese engineers messed a lot with the way the engine takes air, nothing beats having an engine with larger displacement. Only thing though is that the 7afe block doesnt have all the re enforcements that the 4age red tops did or the silver tops. Hopefully that wont be too much of a problem

Yeah I see your learning huh? Lol but yeah which is the reason why you bore out and build the block with high compression pistons if your going all motor or low compression if your going boost

But the block its self, How much hp are they rated for? I know the red top has 3 extra ribs on the side and back and the silver top has another 4 extra ribs added. Im pretty sure that the 7afe block doesnt have those extra ribs. Is the 7afe block the same block that the 1zz uses?

Side note; talking about this stuff is totally tits. I love it! hahaha

Head makes hp block makes the tq so the 20v bt makes 165 hp and 120 tq and 7afe has 120hp and 117tq but with the bigger displacement and a 20v head theres more tq increase with the 11:1 compression or even higher if you want ... I'm planning on building a 20v black top 7age myself I'll make a build thread when I start and put some numbers up It will have it all lol
