Which is your favorite burger joint?

Personally, I was SUPER dissapointed in the Double Double at In N Out that I had for the 1st time a few weeks ago in Hollywood. After all the hype, what a let down.

Five Guys is the best, hands down.

never been to cheeburger cheeburger or five guys. Big Boy Burger is pretty good though. I even like islands burger. If you got in & out, get Animal style double double. its not the best but its one of those burgers where you wouldn't mind having another.

You're in hollywood eh? whats the occasion?

I chose jack in the box out of the selection you gave not because of the burger but because they have the best commercials... Hands down

A lot of those I've never heard of, so between the ones I've had, I would say in and out is the best, animal style of course.

five guys is starting to go up all over so cal and there's even one in vegas now, but i haven't tried it. in-n-out is by far the best of the list. all the others shouldn't even be listed except maybe fatburger, but they're over priced.

Five Guys fan myself. Wife is not a big hamburger/cheeseburger fan - but all the ones she likes, Five Guys wins hands down. Previous to that, it was Wendy's (when I lived in Ohio) - though after it changed hands, quality went way down.

Though when I hit a Five Guys in Ohio, was OK, but not stellar like the ones in the DC Metro area. Went to two different Five Guys and was unimpressed both times.

Noticing a trend that once these stellar restaurants start to franchise out - that they no longer come close to the original quality and taste of the ones that started them. Hoping this will not be the case, with Five Guys and other similar restaurants. Not sure if it is a local pride thing, or just cost cutting do to the franchise start-up load for the new owners.

one thing i like about in-n-out is you get the same great burger and fries at every in-n-out, or at least all the ones i've been to. in-n-out is a privately held businesses and i think they don't franchise out.

    edit: http://www.in-n-out.com/history.asp
i wonder how five guys will do being that they are franchising. i hope there's quality control so that all the places taste the same.

i've officially had my first and last five guys burger. it was good, but for the price i would rather have chili's or red robin. chili's has burgers for $6-$7 that include fries and are bigger. the fries at five guys are the worst of all chains. i really enjoy the toasted buns of in-n-out and although in-n-out doesn't have as much meat i think the overall quality of the product is better. i gave them a chance, but i think five guys was so hyped that i was under impressed and not blown away like i was expecting. the cajun fries hardly taste cajun. i don't care for wendy's new natural cut fries, but now i like those over five guys.

That's a good point, Wendy's used to own the competition on fries, but now it's meh.

I used to hate the Wendy's fries until I tried the newer ones. I have to say I kinda liked the Applebee's fries I had last night.
