Engine Ground Fusion custom ground wires.

Isn't a grounding kit just a ass load of wires comming off your neg terminal going all over your engine bay? Do you really need a kit? Or do you just need a spool of wire?

they are pre cutted and fitted with end and should be worth the money since 70$ kits prolly 50$ are in cables and ends and heat shrink thingies for the ends and crap

You can buy 4 gauge wire for 1.25 a foot, and terminals for $3 for four. Most of the money goes into labor and R&D but it is not too hard to determine where you need to ground your car.

For all you 93-97 bubbas out there! When he did my kit, I originally had the other ground kit someone on here sold. Well we ripped that out and laid all new wire in! And I have to tell you, it was noticeable not only on the street but also at idle. 93-7's you know its a pain the ass trying to get some throttle response, well when your voltage is consistent and doesn't droop when you hit the pedal. It's a nice boost in power. I have a lot done to my motor and car and this kit is definitly worth the $60. I can vouch for that. I was sceptical at first, and thought I could do it on my own as well(which i did in the past), but I am telling you, this guy has a gift! Let him show you what he can do, you will be impressed. Especially if you have a system, the power windows and bass can be hitting and the lights dont dim a bit. Just give it a shot! Some how he finds power that was robbed from you at the factory!

After hearing all the reviews, it makes me want to get one from him.

He's got the 98-02 kit up.

"98-02 is up on the site. Now remember it was a non vvti model with an auto. I cannot ensure fitment on the a vvti or manual tranny. I am pretty sure it will work I just dont have a manual tranny to verify the ground point.

i did my own ground on my tC. 4 points: right fender area, engine block near spark plugs, left side of engine block, and alternator.
since my car is drive by wire, i have lots of throttle delay. thats why i was hoping this would help out.
it didn't...i think i know why. instead of seperate wires, i made on long chain from each point, it goes in this order: alternator->left side engine block->engine block near spark->battery terminal negative->alternator
also, i used 8 gauge wire. $17 wasted, oh well.
i'm thinking about getting the kit for my car, but $75 seems a little steep for 8 4ga wires that are crimped.
but for now, i'm saving some change for a short shifter

Did anyone try this out on a 00-02 rolla with vvti? Cause i want to get this for my car, but he only did it for the non vvti 98-99 one, But he said it should work, anyone can varify it?

I bought it and installed it on my '02. I had two problems.

The first was for the wire between the passenger side engine mount and injector (coil pack?) grounding. That wire should have been slightly longer b/c it has to get around the VVT oil control valve (which isn't present on the non-vvti models of course) that sticks out right by the intake manifold. I got it to fit but it was quite a stretch.

The second problem I had was trying to find a place to bolt the wiring onto the transmission. All the bolts there are too wide. I ended up bolting it down to a bracket that was next to the transmission. I think later I'll use my dremel to widen the hole, and then screw it down to the transmission.

Other than those two problems the installation took about an hour. It looks great.

i took me that long to make up my own kit which isn't all that great which consists of like 4 grounding wires

o and the wire for the tranny was under the intake right?
If its the same can't you bolt it on the existing wire?

Yup, an hour, damn, I needed a cold one afterwards. Working around the engine 30 minutes after driving around on the freeway is not the greatest of all ideas. But I had just received the package that afternoon, and with two hours to go before I had to leave for class...well I'm just the type of guy that can't wait to put new stuff on his car.

Before this new grounding set up, there was a pre-existing custom setup that I did per Vamp's DIY. For that one I had also widened the connector hole to bolt it down using one of the unusually wide bolts connected to the tranny. I forget if there was a stock grounding point there in the beginning.

ya same here, i followed his DIY, i took out every stock grounding wire there was and got new battery terminals too
