    Razor or Electric Shaver?

what do think works best for shaving needs? if you use a razor, do you use any shaving cream or nothing?

I use a fusion with no no shaving cream, works great...
works a bit better with some moisturizing cream to make it glide better... but it's more hassle than the difference you get.

I never use shaving cream just some hot water and a razor, but i dont have alot to shave but if you do then I guess you should be using an electric.

fusion with shaving cream. I love the little blade on the back of the razor, so awesome.

Depends alot on your skin type, hair thickness / growth, your ethnicity, and how often you will or plan on shaving.

I use both - have both the foil (Braun) and rotary (Norelco) electric shavers as well as an assortment of single (disposable razor blades and straight razor) and multi-bladed razors (all disposable).

I tend to prefer the single blades over the multiple blades for my needs. Because of my fairly dense beard growth, thicker hair, and a propensity for Folliculitis (inflammation of one or more hair follicles, leads to razor bumps, ingrown hairs, etc.)

Multi-blades are convenient, nearly impossible to cut yourself, gets reasonably close shaves, cheap (as in no real maintenance, just toss when they dull). But I'd rather use an electric over the multi-bladed razors - but that is just me, personally.

I also use both and prefer the electric. I could never find a razor to get closer than an electric. I could get away with shaving every 2-3 days, but because I have a Monday to Friday job I shave every day and usually not on the weekends. I primarily use the electric, but since the electric tends to miss some hair I touch up around the neck area with a razor which is a 3 blade of some kind of brand.

What's the deal with facial hair at work? I know it depends on the job but is it considered somewhat unprofessional like tattoos are. Or becoming more accepted.

they rather prefer you have a tattoo now than facial hair.

I had to keep shaving even when working on the back of a store configuring PCs and making towers...

the good thing I can get by 2 days top without shaving.

I've never encountered a company that had regulations on facial hair. All the girls in my office seem to hate it, but nobody in management has ever said anything about it, or even hinted. I think the only time it would come into play would be if you had something that was so unkempt and terrible looking like a hobo beard.

I have the fusion razor. I also use the gillete shaving cream. I shave once a week (head and face). The razor usually lasts about 2-3 weeks then I have to replace the tip. I also have an electric razor but it takes me a while to shave. My hair isn't the easy going type..lol. I used a single razor once when I was in Vegas. I forgot my razor so I had to buy one over there. Never again. I irritated my skin real bad.

Anyone use the Fusion Power or that new one that came out, I think its called Glide or something. Whats the difference than a non-powered one? Never really knew if there was a difference or benefit to it.

    lmao @ hobo beard

i have the fusion power one, it just vibrates while you shave and is supposed to make the hair stand up for a closer shave. Doesn't make a difference for me though.

I thought that it vibrate for the weird case that if it got stuck in a stuble it would make it easier for the razor to go thru it... or cut higher then die with the next blade

Mach 4 Razor and I prefer shaving cream instead of gel. But my work doesn't really care about facial hair, so I have 1 or 2 times a week.

If I wanted to be clean shaven, I'd have to shave my beard twice a day. Good thing my work doesn't enforce the "clean shaven' rule. I'd be screwed.
