Past out today riding to work.

Today I passed out after I got off my bike ride to inservice from dehydration and not enough sugar in my blood. Took some pure glucose and water and now I'm starting to feel a little better. I got some electrolytes in me since then too. So slowly I'm starting to feel less slugish. I'm also an asthmatic so I'm glad I didn't have an asthma attack. Anyways it just scared me a little bit since after I got off my bike I passed out and fell and gain conciousness with couple of bumps and cuts including one on my head. I couldn't remember what happened so I don't know how long I was out, but nobody saw me. Which would of been bad if I were in real trouble. Luckily I lived another day.

Nobody stopped when they saw a guy laying on the ground only feet away from his motorcycle? This is a cruel world we live in...

Just be grateful you didn't pass out while you were still riding your bike. That would have been fatal.

are you diabetic? or something related? wow man I'm diabetic and man it sucks I'm telling you... even before driving I check my blood sugar and I take something with sugar in case it gets low while driving.... wow man luckily ur okay and stuff man, most people go into the whole low blood sugar shock and there's a good chance of dying too (well at least for us diabetics) and well in top of that dehydration will help to end lifes too shit... but well glad to hear ur doing good man

    Thanks everyone,

I was riding to work which is just 20 minutes away and was kind of late. So I didn't take any water or any sugar stuff with me like I usually do, but this isn't the first time that it happened so I escaped fate more then once. I don't' know how many more times I would be able to do this again. I made it to work late of course and was fading in and out the rest of the day. It was really scary when I started to black out and started to loss function of my body. Luckily I know by now what I have to take to get myself into recovery.

sounds like me when it was my first day of training,I passed out 6 times the entire afternoon and fell down about 7 or 8 times i can't remember. but man did my body hurt like hell. this happened when i was in the office,on the way home and at the convience store. thanks for others i was lucky enough to have people help me of the floor since it was like i had no use of my legs. that is how bad they hurt. The last time i fell down i just saw so many different colors and just hit the car and was knocked out for about 15 minutes. But after working out everyday and getting used to it, i started to get over it and now it somes naturally to me. seriously just always keep hydrated regardless of how you feel but not to a point that u are going to release it the way it entered. good thing you are doing better.

Thanks, I was just fading in and out for the rest of the afternoon and night. But this isn't the first time that it happened. I lose use of my whole body for a while too a couple of times. Not the greatest feeling especially when you have show up for a mandatory inservice.
