DIY: How to Install Fender Bars



Tools
12MM wrench
10MM wrench
14MM wrench
Screwdrivers
Jackstands
Power drill
19/64 drill bit
1/4 drill bit
(2) 1/4" X 1/2" bolt
(2) 1/4" nut

Instructions
1) Jack up car and place jackstands under the car.

2) Take off wheel.

3) Take off splashguard by prying out the taps, unbolting some 10MM bolts and unscrewing a plastic tab with a Phillips head.



4) Pop open the hood. Take off the parking lamp by with your screwdriver and unbolt the 10MM bolt holding the headlamp to the fender.



5) Take off these (3) 10MM bolts along the side of the fender.



6) Take off side of the front bumper cover. Take off the nut and (2) 10MM bolts under the bumper cover.



7) Open your front door. Unbolt the 10MM bolt holding the fender in place on the inside of the crevice.

8) With the splashguard down, unbolt the 10MM bolt under the fender.







9) Look under the car and unbolt the 10MM bolt holding the fender to the bottom of the car.



10) Unscrew the (4) 12MM bolts on the door bracket. Bolt the fender bar over the existing holes. You may have to enlarge one of the hole on the fender bar with a metal file or drill to fit like I did.





11) Drill a hole with your 19/64 drill bit here to bolt the fender bar to the uni-frame.





12) Use the included bolts and nuts to bolt the fender bar in place.





13) Since the provided bolt is too long to insert into the fender bar, we have to get two 1/4 X 1/2 bolts with matching nuts to mount the second point. Drill a hole with the 1/4 drill bit and bolt on.






14) Reverse the above steps to put the fender and bumper cover back together.

he got the bars from me....note signiture, i distribute.

you will notice more of the suspension doiing the work instead of chassis flex. less inside creaking , les body roll , it basically stiffen's the shit out the car.

Yeah, definately get your bars from shubert_ae102. He'll take care of you. These bars do work; just look at how the bars reinforce the strut tower to the firewall (the door brackets being a strong part of the firewall). I feel less body roll cornering!
