This forum is so depressing, everyone always has to point out how bad the 1zzfe is and talk down to it, no wonder this forum is dying.

The 1ZZFE is peppy, but not quick. It's just a gas sipping commuter ftw. Anything else is ftl.

Your lack of knowledge makes you fail. Modern Mazdas are good cars.

THANK YOU!!! what a lot of people fail to realize is the the 1zzfe is a very light engine so if you strip the shit out of the car and turbo it... damn, your power to weight ratio will be more than impressive.

Unbelievable. "Settled" for a Mazda? For example: The Mazdaspeed3 has received numerous awards since its inception, winning Car and Driver's 10 Best multiple times, Automobile Magazine's 2007 All Star, Auto Week's Best Economy Car 2005, and several more.

If anything I you wouldn't find me "settling" for another Toyota anytime soon. After the millions of cars from the past years that have been recalled, any comparable Mazda is probably more reliable. Not to mention Mazda at least still makes cars and not just appliances.
