    wow..

I actually forgot about this thing. lol
Im always reading about japanese stuff and cars of course also.
Now this thing is Honda's 'NEW' hybrid sometime to be released 2011 the states..
    (mugen version)

LONDON — Engine tuner Mugen has announced plans to develop high-performance versions of Honda's hybrid models.

Mugen Euro Vice President Hiro Toyoda says the company is "looking at the CR-Z," the new CRX-inspired hybrid sport coupe that is slated to appear in the U.S. at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in January. Toyoda, who heads up Mugen's U.K.-based European operation, reckons that the hybrid's electric motor can be upgraded to provide more low-end torque, allowing the gasoline engine to be tuned for maximum top-end power without spoiling the car's drivability.

Its regenerative braking system will also be harnessed to deliver more recuperative boost to a battery pack facing greater demands from a more potent electric motor.

There's no word yet on when a hot Mugen CR-Z might appear or regarding what the extra power will do to its emissions, but hot hybrids are on the way.

Inside Line says: Tuned hybrids will add glamour to the breed — and provide intriguing new ways to make a car go faster and cleaner. — Richard Bremner, Correspondent

Not all bad: Honda CR-Z called "one of the most desirable cars on the planet"

The Honda CR-Z has drawn more than its fair share of criticism thus far. From reviews focusing on the measly mileage numbers of Honda's newest hybrid to others doubting the sporty attributes of a vehicle which lacks the rev-happy nature we've grown accustomed to from Honda products, it's fair to say that the CR-Z has got an uphill climb to widespread acceptance. Still, there are some glowing reviews of the CR-Z out there, stemming mostly from publications based in the UK.

For instance, Telegraph called the CR-Z "sporty by hybrid standards" and closed by calling it "a likeable little car." A BBC Top Gear review – not written by Jeremy Clarkson – points out that the CR-Z is "proper fun to drive," adding that "Honda might finally have made eco-motoring sexy." However, the most ecstatic review came from Mirror, which suggested that the CR-Z "is set to become one of the most desirable cars on the planet" and concluded with "it's a lulu to drive". A lulu? Is that good? (Turns out, it is).

The Honda CR-Z is scheduled to debut by late summer and, depending on who you ask, it's either one of the best hybrids ever or somewhere down there with the worst. Either way, it's a hit in Japan and breaks away from the typical hybrid mold by offering a manual transmission, the promise of a sporty driving experience and looks that don't cry out "I'm a hybrid."

the honda insight (as goku said) was a fail. seen 2 of them on the street.
the 3rd was drag car for clutch masters.

OMG and the crosstour is ugly as fuckk!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean the AWD is nice but the car. oh come onnnnnnnn

They made it look like the Prius for marketing. When they see that body style that almost looks identical they think gas conservative and economic bullshit. since the prius is the face of fuel economy car makers have to either make something that looks like it or make something way awesome. and usually fail cuz people hate change.

and imo i dont think that the insight was a fail. the point of the car was to be completely battery powered and a family car. which it is, and it does a decent job at it too.. now if it doesnt sell thats the companys job *cough cough* HONDA so yeah there you have it..
