    Suspension Plans

Ok i was planning to get GC Coilover kit all around the car with tokicos or gr-2s in the front
( im not planning on buying for the rear since im only gonna lower it by an inch or less ). its my daily driver, and i dont want it too be bouncy, and not too stiff, but i really want a nice drop. maybe 1.7 in the front in the summer time. and since i have the front shyguys lip on i want to raise it during the winter times.

anybody recommend this setup? and how about the skunk2 coilover sleeves? any info?

Sleeves and only the fronts? No go. Your suspension will be all sorts of jacked up and unbalanced.

Your corolla has been pretty stock as far as iv seen, old timer.
Dont ever remember you doing anything major to your car, aside from blowing the motor to hell.

i blew my motor because i had n/a tuning on a greddy emanage. was pushing more hp out of the stock motor/internals than you ever wish you could on an n/a motor. its rebuilt now with mwr internals, and im pushing 180hp on a n/a 1.8l engine(that wasnt a 1zz or mr2-s engine)....prolly like 170 at the wheels.

ive also had a way better suspension setup then you could ever dream.

unlike you i dont publish my upgrades on the forums because i dont need to flex nuts.

get ground controls with spring rates of about 125 to 175 lb/in and you should be good. 150 in front and 125 in the rear would give you a similar ride quality to Tein H-Techs. 175 in the front and 150 in the rear would give you a similar ride quality to Tein S-Techs.

Just whatever you do don't just buy groundcontrols without telling them what spring rates you need or they'll just send you standard 300 lb/in springs all around.

btw ksport rides like crap IMO.

Sorry im kinda new to the new suspension thing
I thought you can just change the height of the car, now this is something new
i can ask them to give me a certain type of spring rate? and H&R makes coilover sleeves or coilovers? im only getting these because i want to raise my car in the winter time since ill have 14's on and i dont want to destroy my front lip

No im gonna have sleeves all around, but just struts on the front since im only gona lower the rear not even an inch ( i thought it woldnt destroy my struts fast if i didnt lower it so much)

if you go with ground controls, yes.. or else your springs will be underdamped.

well im not ordering it from their official site but a discount site
    rpmsuperstore.com
it has free shipping and a little bit lower price, should i call them and tell them?

if i go with tokicos will it be a direct fit and easy installation if i take it to the shop?

    call them.

The tokicos have a larger diameter collar than OEM so they would have to grind it a bit to fit the coilover sleeve over it. Any techinican would/should understand what to do just by looking at it.

Remember, it's still better to be overdamped than underdamped. However, you really want neither.

Don't EVER buy eBay coilovers/sleeves(pretty much the non familiar brands). They might be cheap but you get what you pay for. The cheapest coilovers I would get if I was really on a budget is K-Sports but I would spend the extra money on D2's.
