DIY: How To Make A Glovebox Light

    Materials Needed:
    1) Glovebox switch. I got mine from a 2002 Mazda Millenia
    2) Lamp with a 5W bulb such as a parking lamp

    Instruction:

    1) Take off glovebox.

    2) Drill a hole in the glovebox to fit the switch. I used a drill and then a file to slowly get the shape right for the switch to pop in. (Note: Don't drill in the position that I did. Drill below this area else you will find that you can not close your glovebox like I did. )

    3) Now that the switch is in, you have to wire it to the lamp. Note that where the switch is in this picture is where you want to put your switch.

    4) Wire in the lamp like in this diagram.

    5) Reinstall your glovebox and tuck the lamp in the top of the glovebox. Now you have a lamp for your glovebox! Just remember to shut your glovebox if your engine is off or else it will drain your battery if it's wired to a constant 12V source.
