Not necessarily. It depends on where he lives and what the laws are there. Generally speaking, if one party is an adult and the other is a minor you can run into problems. But there can be exceptions depending on where you live.

hey guys, WOW lol looks like ive caused some controversy lol. alright, so i AUSTRALIA which is where we live, there is no real laws on relationship ages. however for sex, the female has to be at least 16 and the male has to be at least 18 (however that part is never really looked at). She has told me that even if i was 18, her parents wudnt care if we dated, as they do not look at age difference, but whether we are right for eachother.

A problem that is facing us is that because she is so religious, she goes to youth every saturday and church sunday, sunday is also their "family day". (this is strange to me, because my type of family, and all my mates, dont really have a family day)

Pretty much if i did date her, we wouldnt have sex till she was 16, or maybe until even later (depending on how well she wants to follow her religion). Shes christian btw, incase i didnt mention that.

Thank you guys for all your advice, FOLKEN who said i should ask my parents has a good point however, by posting it on here, it means i can get even more thoughts on it instead of the one sided view that my parents would give (they would look at what THEY want for ME instead of what I want for ME) i know i know, they might have the best opinion or whatever, however it is MY life (look at it from the point of view as someone telling you what THEY want done with YOUR car and you have to do it).

yeah pretty sure im gonna try to make it happen with her. im going to church with her next weekend, so ill be meeting her parents most likely. She also goes to youth, which i guess i may go to, and meet her friends.. maybe lol. i just want to get in her parents good books and actually start the relationship. I swear, i drink, i smoke, i smoke up, but im also a university student, i have a job and ive got a car. im actually a really nice person, i just like to enjoy myself lol. so wish me luck on meeting her rents, hopefully they arent bad

As you may have guessed, the answers did not please her mother, nor father, nor sister, nor her 20 year old brothers. fml.

So, ive told her to tell her parents that i would really like to meet them.
