How should I spend my 3k?

1. Sell the AE82 and use the money + 3k to buy a used vehicle.
2. Source for a new engine and tranny for the AE82 and start building it.

Dont know how much a 20v or a gze might cost + tranny. Anyone have an idea?

Chassis is old, despite your low mileage. Sell the bike, sell the 82, upgrade.

it is but 0 rust, well other than the bump on the hood. I need to flush break system and replace rear drums. Other than that nothing else has to be done maintenance wise.

Plus, what could I upgrade with >5k dp? Keep in mind im a full time student, working 14hrs on the weekend. Bills are: 100 for phone bill and +- 100 for food/leisure.If I buy something 2nd hand has to be about 100$/mo and insurance should be less than 80. Im sure to have to do basic maintenance on it cuz it will probably be in the 60k miles at least.

If I decide to keep the bike and car, the car will surely last until college is over. No doubt about it. Sometimes it only gets 50 miles a week. Ill probably decide to sell the bike at 15-20k miles for 2k or less. That might be before a year depending on how much riding ill do over the summer.

The money you sink into the 82 will never bee seen again. It's a lost investment.

I dont think so. Driving it today and having fun with it today = no loss.

Keeping the bike and the car will be your best bet. Rock the 82 (in stock form) through your college years while your banking all your checks. When your done with college you'll have some cash saved up and you'll have more options available when car shopping. The bike will satisfy your need for speed for the time being.

Guess Ill be keeping the bike. But after college Ill still keep the AE82. One day my dream of it being fast shall come true.

I agree, Keep the 82 stock. You will be glad you did. Keep it as a daily driver that will give you good mileage. If you want to rebuild the engine or replace it with one with lower miles that would be it (future plans). But if you want speed buy something else, it will be cheaper

^ I think I'll be happy with that setup. 200hp at the wheels sound fast-enough for an 88 corolla.
