How hard is it to install full coilovers?

I suppose a spring compresser is needed for removing the springs on the car, but do the coilovers just bolt up? I'm not talking Ground Controls, but a full coilover setup. Just trying to get an idea of whether I could install a set myself.

If they come with upper mounts, you just pull out the old ones and stick in the new ones...

oh forgot.. you also need to set preload before hand and then u need to keep turing the lower pearch upm and down to get the correct height. (assuming you get 2 way adjustable)

u could install it urself but it be better to have another person to help with stuff just in case. takes about 20 minutes per strut. coilover suspensions are direct swaps so u dont have to worry about a spring compressor or anything. have fun :)

if u just wanna take off springs from the strut, heres one thing i recommend doing. get your whole strut assembly, get the top mount and put a dummy tire on top of that, then you unbolt that top bolt. this way, the spare tire will absorb the impact from the springs pushing out.

a full coilover is direct plug and play pretty much, just take out your entire old strut assembly and put the new one in, since full coilovers include the spring and strut integrated into one unit.

^^ FINALLY someone who knows what he's talking about. This forum is so deluded by struts/springs combos that nobody here know what a full coilover/dampener setup is.
