    98 corolla fog lights

    Hey so i am about to put some HID fog lights on my corolla and i was wondering where is should connect the wires, i want to be able to turn them on separately from the main headlights so what should i do? and also if there is another thread about this could you redirect me to it? thanks.

    Directly to the battery. Just follow the directions that come with the fog lights. You pretty much just need power and ground. A relay might be necessary as well.

    You can wire a switch between the battery and the lights so you can control it. I think the ideal place to put it would be under the left ac vent where the change holder is. The change holder pops right out.

    Bro use a relay switch and a toggle switch and then hook the power wire to the cigarette lighter fuse so if you forget to shut your toggle switch off the lights will shut off when you shut the car off ... :)

    Now in this photo has a red arrow but you want to put it where the cigareete lighter is the red arrow is for my parking lights for the glow gauge .:)

    i've seen other pictures like that where you've stuck wires into the fuse locations. Just wondering, is that in any way unsafe?

    It shouldn't be. The fuses still work the way they're intended.

    Yes its safe cause the fuse will pop off , You have the wire on one side of the fuse , Its only unsafe if you but a 30amp where a 15 amp should be . But as long as you ground your wires correctly it is safe . How do you think when the people put alarms in your car they hook the wire up this way :)
