New cat, Making a wierd noise

    New cat, Making a wierd noise

    I think the new cat is hitting the stabilizer bar that goes across the bottom of my car, but cant be sure. It sounds like its coming from there. Do you think if i take it back to the shop they can install a smaller cat?

    Wow that would annoy the piss out of me. I would take it back playing stupid to see what they can do to fix it for free considering it didnt do that before you brought it there. If that doesnt work id consider maybe a smaller cat or even removing that bottom bracket. It really doesnt serve too much of a purpose.

    If your engine mounts are warn that will make your exhaust rattle thats the purpose for the flex part on the down pipe to not keep it so stiff , Mines started to rattle and it was the three bolts loosen that connect the header to the down pipe :)

    i took it back and they forgot to mount hangars to keep it rattling on the exhaust shield, they kept the flex pipe so im not worried about htat

    OOpps Sorry I was thinking about my 7 th gen with the flex pipe I dont know if the 8th has one ..LMAO :)

    i have one installed with my custom exhaust. I havent been able to rev it up very high due to the snow but i dont think its still rattling around.

    haha passed emissions with pzev efficiency too...means i dont have to go for at least 2 years

    Or you can try a shorter flex pipe. My solution was a polyurethane engine mount.
