    Question about HID kit

Hey guys just have a question. On my honda accord I have a set of HIDs (4300K) and the passenger one is turning red after warming up. Have you guys ever experienced this? its quite noticeable while driving and I bet everyone else on the road can tell too. I can take some pictures if needed. I just wanna know if anyone here experienced this and what the cause could be.

    Thanks.

    Robbie

Could be a bad bulb or a bad ballast not supplying enough power to drive the bulb. Swap bulb positions and see if it turns red. If it does, bad ballast. If not, bad bulb.

Thanks for the input guys. My accord does have flip up headlights so maybe something got pulled loose. Ill definately try switching bulbs around when we get a day where its above 15 degrees haha. I did a little searching on other forums and some other people said they turn red right before they burn out. Hopefully warranty will cover it.

Even if it isn't covered, 35W HID bulbs are only 20 bucks for a pair. 50/55W are 30 bucks.

Yeah ill probably end up buying new bulbs. The HID kit i got from ebay and it shipped from China, so ill just keep the good bulb as a spare.

Make sure it isn't a bad ballast first or else you'll waste money on bulbs.
