taking all the badges off the car, yes/no?

so ive heard and seen people take all their badges of their car as they think its so cool because people, even though there are no badges, know the cars make and model. what do you guys think about it?

personally if i did it, people would mistake my car for a holden nova, or a toyota corona or camry. so thats a no go area for me.:rule:

The reason I took off my badge because some times there to much on there so taking them off looks cleaner , I left the front one on , On my 93 I took off the LE badge and toyota badge but left the symbol in the middle of the trunk . Just depends on the year of the corolla , some looks better with out and some look better with one .... I took all the ones off my 98 rolla in the trunk and it looks clean . You can see in my sig the white car with one badge in the center and the burgandy in front of it has no badge in the rear ..... Both my cars ... So good luck

I did it cus I think badgeless is a clean look. I think a clean trunk looks good on just about any car IMO. However I still have my original grille with the Toyota symbol and people still know what car it is because of "Corolla" spelled out on the center piece. I just think its a clean look, I say do it.

i removed mine because i was sick of having to wax around them.

i haven't bothered to take anything off the Subaru.

That is also another reason, I hate having little chunks of junk stuck in between the letters and stuff of the badges.

I left the toyota lettering in the upper left corner. Definitely, looks a lot cleaner.

that was my only reason. i made my ex gf do it for me, too. :rule:

ifi your gonna do it, leave the emblem take everything else off.

wow i was expecting everyone to say that is the worst thing you can do. i have a few ricer badges on.. lol TRD on the door panel and a chrome 'toyota' badge on the grille. i will take your thoughts into consideration.

Removing the badges makes the car looks sleeker and more streamlined. Adding badges isn't too far off from vinyl stickers advertising a parts list for car thieves.

Rolla is correct plus everyone has there own taste , Who cares if people dont know what your driving , gives them more reason to aproach you and gives you more reason to say hell yea they like my shit ...LMAO

Yes I agree with almost everyody badgeless looks cleaner and saves time from having to go around the lettering when you wash and wax plus stuff getting stuck in them sucks lol

Lucky for most of us we dont have the type of emblems that are stick-on with holes and pegs to hold the emblems. Some cars look nice badgeless. Some look nice with a few badges taken off to get rid of clutter. Some look nice with nothing.

it depends on the car for me. i've completely debadged the whole trunk or only did part of it. my initial reason is the same as falnfenix since using a q-tip to clean around the emblems gets annoying.

ok, so if i was to debadge some items on the trunk how would i go about doing it? what tools do i use and how do i got about doing it?

how do i remove any sticky residue after the badge is off...using goo-gone? is that stuff safe for the paint?

I took a Heat gun and pealed off all the lettering and left the middle emblem on. Everything came off but there is a faint indentation or residue left that shows the "Toyota" and "C O R O L L A" on the car. I was told to take a rubber ball and rub it on the spots to get the rest off.

i used floss to floss the badges off and than a tad of goo gone to fully remove the rest of the residue and waxed that area of the car. There is no indication that mine ever had badges now.

use a razor blade and cut it off. steel wool and a sponge helps remove the goo.

This will be the only reason why I would do that.

yea i took all my badges off but im thinking about painting the toyota symbol black and then putting just that back on

well it looks like someone is already doing the badge removing for me! my TRD badge was stolen lol.. yeah.. so now i have black adhesive from where the badge was on.
