That's a great site. I may be moving outside of Florida and chances are I'll be encountering some snow. My dad told me that I need to "winterize my car". He said I need tires and I would need to do an undercoating to prevent rust.

Is there anything else I would need to do? And can I do the undercoating myself? What would I need to undercoat?

You can have it professionally done. Or you can just buy the rubberized undercoat in a rattle can and diy. Also make sure your coolant can take the cold weather without freezing. And make sure you have winter windshield washer fluid in your car. Thats all i can think of atm

My windshield washer reservoir is all cracked and can't hold fluid, so I don't need to worry about that. LOL

What exactly do you undercoat? Just the frame? or the engine and suspension also?

well in the winters, its almost a must to have some fluids to clean your windshield cause theres always water on the road, mix that with salt and following cars splashing all that crap on your windshield, you def need some washer fluid to clean that junk off while driving.
Also engine oil, even though not a big deal but depends on how cold it gets, dont want something too think that would freeze and become thick, preventing the car from starting. Of course gotta have the heat workin and the rear defroster.
