just make sure it come with 9mm fittings and you're good. All the cheaper ones like the ones u linked are all the same, pretty basic; just a inlet port, outlet port, drain and gauge. When you step up to the better ones like the 5zigen proracer catch tank then they are baffeled to make sure you catch as much oil in the blowby as possible.

The catch can retains vaporized oil that would normally be fed into the combustion chamber. You can get alot of problems if you get alot of oil into the combustion chamber. But if you don't drive your car very hard or are not turbo, I'm not sure if its really necessary.

well it goes between the pcv valve and intake manifold on our cars. It basically catches oil so it doesn't gunk up the intake manifold with a oily film. Also by catching oil and not allowing it to reack the intake stream you effectively decrease chances of pre dentonation/knock as oil in the combustion chamber with lower octane - which is a fuel stablizer.

I got this one for $35.00 from e-bay and the reason I got it cause I can stick steel wool in it and it will catch the oil better then just a empty container .....My car does need a catch can cause when I do my oil changes it only smokes at start up until the oil goes low cause it all goes to the intake , This will help improve my gas mileage too ... Thanks again guys ,

I recommend against steel wool.. the steel fibers might get sucked into your combustion chamber.

I hear there are metal pads that some people use. its like steel wool but in pad form so it doesn't come apart. Personally I own a baffled catch can so it takes the place of the stuff people put in their catch cans.

yea, i think that's it. Just make sure its nothing that can break up and get sucked into your engine.
