    The Landover Baptist Church doesn't really exist. It is a fictitious church in a fictitious town. The whole thing is a parody dreamed up by a guy who got kicked out of Jerry Falwell's Liberty University for doing a radio show that spoofed fundamentalist Christians.

    That's the thing though, I've lived in extremely baptist places and while the stuff they talk about on this parody site is wildly far-fetched, I've met some people who do act almost this badly. Anybody in any place or religion can take it way too far.

    i do think there are a small number of members on that site that actually believe what's talked about there. i also think that they're probably far more vulgar than the people in on the spoof in which they may try to correct those users. people do think that way in the world though.
