I don't think they are illegal. They had them on deadliest warrior, in the Taliban vs IRA or something.

You can get working single-shot replicas here in CO....not sure about Oregon...but AK's are so overrated imo...

Yes you can pick up a semi auto AK-47 clone. You should still be able to find a WASR-10 (Romanian) for under $500. That is basically the lowest "quality" you can find, but I have one and trust my life with it. Most shops will sell you the gun along with two 30 round magazines. The price of 7.62x39mm ammo more then doubled in my area for the past couple of months, but now it seems it's starting to come back down. Don't even think about fully auto, you'll have the ATF at your door.

AK-47 clones, AR-15's, CETME's, SKS's are semi auto and are not "machine guns", there for they are legal anywhere semi autos are legal. :)

Please explain how you think they are overrated.

AK's became legal a couple of years ago. You can get the semi-auto, but not fully auto(these ARE illegal).

I would assume anything from Russia is going to be fully automatic, and you would have to smuggle it into the states. I've heard stories of people shipping a fully automatic in parts to friends at different addresses, but you would be taking a HUGE risk.

I thought the only remaning AK-47 factory shut down. So getting a new, real one is out of the question. in WA you need a special permit just to posess a full auto machine gun. there is only like 40 such licenses in existence and you have to be a licensed gunsmith to get one I think. so, semi-auto or a clone is the way to go. Also I thought the ak had horrible accuracy

In AZ you just have to have a permit for MG takes about a year to get though

everyone wants one because they are "cool" to have, everyone is like ohmahgawd AK-47 so bad ass...i just get sick of hearing about it. even little 12 year olds know what they are they are just too common i guess....id much rather have a SCAR-H or G36...more rare and look a lot more badass. but thats just my opinion

EDIT: i didnt see CB's post...ive heard that too...but ive never shot one...i know that they suck in most games i play too ;)

i'm pretty sure gun laws varies from state to state and even some cities. What may apply in your own state may not apply to the OP in oregon.

im russian so... i guess thats my reason for wanting one, if i was to get a gun it would be ak47 period. i dont get one beause its "cool"

though, isent it weird how us americans always want the foreign guns while the foreigners want our american guns

    example: americans want ak's
while euroz want out m4's lol

I THOUGHT YOU WERE UKRANIAN? (whoops caps)

anyway , you can buy any seni auto ak , or ar and make it auto . how do you think people do get them? just about any war veteran , can perform this action. just make sure that you have another unfiled pin around to swap out when your done playing.

i know here in GA mp5's , mac10's , and tek9's are illegal , replica or not. simply because that is state issued close range tactical firearms for swat , bombsquad , and such.

They are LEGAl to own in California as long as..

You buy them in kit formation minus receiver and build it yourself, when you get the receiver seperate you can only have a semi-auto and no more than a 10 round clip.

Try to steal my corolla and I'll show you lol.

My friend is a super gun guru and did one for me actually, I buy all my firearms from him..

You also do not have to register a gun in california If you bought it or your "dad" gave it to you in 1991 or before as a kid. If you catch my drift.. That's all you have to say.. As long as the #'s clear you'll be ok.

You'd have to be some kind of dimwit to keep a real firearm out in the open and on display. Maybe you should just stick with an airsoft.

Any responsible gun owner keeps their weapons locked up. Period. Dont you live in an apartment?

After reading this thread, and the questions that you have asked and the comments that you have made, please dont buy a gun- please please please, for the sake of society.
