    wheel bearing

hey i was wondering if any one has heard of a wheel bearing going bad after 13000 miles ?

i drive the car normally and that was over the time of 14 months.

could this have been caused by a poor install maybe scoring the bearing well pressing it in

if so do you guys think the person who installed the part should have to replace it?

i could really use some help with this

13000 miles? No, that's faulty equipment or installation. I've got stock wheel bearings in my truck and it's got well over 100k on it.

Bro those things are only warrantied from 6 months to a year if your looking for a freebie its not worth it , aftermarket usally go depends on your driving but if you wanted better you should have went to the stealership , Just change them , you got decent mileage out of them :)

I bought 2 rear bearings on Ebay for 105 dollars and there bolt on , and the front bearings they dont sell the whole thing they just sell the bearing they run about 40 a piece and you just have to get them pressed on , but other things cause bearings go bad like a stuck brake caliper heating up the rotor which transfers to the bearings or you dont have the seal in the back which people dont usally put on cause they dont know about it or they take it off and think they dont need it :)
