    Camber bolts

I ordered a set of camber bolts to set the negative camber. I looked all over the place and did some research about it and found out theyre 12mm bolts. Once they came, they were not even close to the stock bolt size. Is that how theyre supposed to be? Are they supposed to be much smaller than the stock bolts? Stock bolts look likr theyre around 19mm. The biggest bolt I found for my car is 17mm. Im kinda confused as to why there are so many options and is it suppose to be close in size or the aftermarket bolts were made smaller on purpose so the desired camber can be achieved??? Anyone install these camber bolt kits on a car or know of anyone who has?

I think he already has the camber bolts. Yes the 12mm are the right size. It should have a tab that when you put it in will fill in the gap. You have to install them with the point of the tab pointing toward the outside of the car. Then the cam of the bolt will adjust the camber. Vamp's site explains how to install them, let me know if you need more help.

camber bolts (in macpherson strut applications) has a built in "cam" in the unthreaded portion that pushes against the hub/knuckle assembly to produce a change in camber angle (similar to how a cam pushes against a rocker arm to open a valve). In order to do that the overall bolt is a smaller diameter, you should also note that they come with their own torque specifications.

    are you sure??
These are the ones i bought
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0409391048&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT
I tried installing them few days ago and the bolt sat in there as if it was a joke. Like there was so much more room in there and once i tried to set the camber, barely saw any difference. Also when I compared the 12mm to my stock one, it was not even close in size so I have no idea how in the world are they even suggesting a 12mm bolt. My friend helpin me told that the stock ones look like 19mm bolts so i dunno. I looked at vamps thread bout it
    http://vamp.darkravers.net/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=135
and you can see the bolt sizes are almost the same and i can def tell you those arent 12mm.
Also the ones i got have no tab. They dont look like this

I bought that shit too, it pissed me off. Ebay sells too much junk. They should rename that site to www.weselljunk.com. seriously.

I told you before prizm, go to firestore or discount tire, they have the right sizes in stock. That 12mm bolt will break on you. You need 17mm. They should have it in stock at those tire stores.

    IF THEY DON'T
www.tirerack.com has it. I love that site, all my brake and suspension system came from there(the ones they had, at least).

    http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/...r=1993&autoModClar=&brand=&category=Alignment

If it doesn't work, set your vehicle to 1993 Geo Prizm then click the link agian. Simple.

I have the Ingalls 12 mm and it works fine. They sell the Ingalls and Eibach on tirerack and it looks like the first pic. I have 3(I had 4, but I stripped one) if you want to buy them. Shoot me an offer if you want.

Just to make sure, you're talking about the rear, right? Because the fronts are 15mm.

Thanks a lot for the help!! :)
