What year Corolla is this for? Vacuum leak or your MAF may be broken/dirty.

incase you are worried...it isnt a serious problem.....unless you accidently fucked up your engine in the process in taking your intake on and off. check the maf.....which intake?

It depends on the intake. If its a custom intake(something besides ELP) you need to make sure that the vaccuum and MAF are the same distance from the throttle body as they were before. I think Goku had a similar problem with his 10th gen, where it was shaking at idle.

Thanks for all the replies, i will check my Mass Air Flow sensor. I think it may be the Filter not tightly fitted, but that's really strange because cars are supposed to run even if the filter is missing. I will try to clean the MAF. I am assuming touching it is a bad idea so air cleaning it is.

It's because of stupid little things like this i always just take cars to a professional shop.

Yeah but this is how you learn with a car. Trial and hopefully little error.

It's most likely the MAF sensor dude, they sell MAF sensor cleaner at auto parts stores. Just be very gentle and careful with it, they're very sensitive.... Don't feel bad man, we all tend to mess up but that's how we learn and even if it might cost ya a little now but knowing to learn from your mistakes will save you money and hassle in the long run. I've saved tons of money by doing mods on my own.

What year is your Car? If you broke your MAF, I have an extra one for 00-02 Corolla. :)

    Hope everything works out

ya, it'll run without the filter, but you've likely wigged out the MAF. clean it (with cleaner specifically made for it - follow the directions on the can/bottle), reset your ECU, and it should run fine.

Does your car run normally if you put the stock airbox back in? That'll diagnose whether or not a sensor is at fault...
