    Suspension combo

Ok, so I'm lowering the car in a few weeks. I can't afford coilovers so I was wondering what a good strut/spring combo is. I was thinking Tokico HPs with Sprint lowering springs (2in.) Is this a good setup, is 2in too much? I am looking for a rougher ride (I want to feel the road and gain as much performance I can without going to coilovers.) I'm on a budget so any moderately priced combos would work. Any contribution is appreciated.

I've been on Tokico HPs with H&R Sport springs for almost 2 years now. Gave about a 1.7-1.8" drop and it's PERFECT. Great ride quality as well.

sounds good...i'm pretty much settled on Tokicos just not sure about springs. I've seen H&Rs advertised as 1.25in drop...you got about 1.75? Sounds good.

I wouldn't go with Sprints. H&R's, Teins, and Vogtlands would be my choice of springs.

Why not rent a spring compressor and do it yourself? Takes less than 1 hour.

H&R sport and H&R street are different. street has 1.25 all around, sport has 1.7 and 1.8

EDIT: havent looked at their inventory for a while but i think they changed the names.

http://www.hrsprings.com/products/springs/ when i was shopping for suspension they had hr sport and hr street springs, thats what i remember.

rollatuners right just do it your self, you dont even really need a spring compressor, i was able to take mine out without even a slight pop, and able to put the new springs on with a little body weight. Although dont take my word for it, i wont be help responsible if it shoots of and kills you :D

I want about a 2in drop so I'll check out those H&R sports

update: everywhere I look, the H&R Sports are referenced as 1.25in. I really don't wanna do any less than 1.5 preferably closer to 2. I want a good product though and I'm just not finding it.

Most springs settle to a lower right height than they advertise anyways so you should be okay.

Yeah, thats not a good idea. You need the spring compressor. I have a friend that didn't know better and the strut mount almost took his head off.
