well first thing you need to do is make the chassis wider because a straight 6 is much longer than a 4 cylinder. I suggest you start by sawing your frame rails and fenders off then build a tube frame to extend your track width by at least a foot on each side. Then because there is no FWD transaxle that would bolt up to a 2JZ engine, you should have a supra or IS300 bellhousing modified to use at a E series transaxle. You'd need custom mounts built, modify the subframe, reposition the macpherson strut suspension, wiring harness (talk to tweaks), custom body panels + fenders. After all that you should be good.

ohh well all the work will be done, by the same place m getting the engine from. al the custom work and welding and evrything. i was thinking that will it give me lots of problems in the future. because ive been reading around and that, any turbo in a car such as this twin turbo engine will give alot of grief in the future.

from that site is their any othe engines that would be good in my car. i was looking at the
Nissans vg30dett non turbo cuz its only 950.00 will that e a good engine too?
sorry for putting out the Nissan engine its a project car and im open to any suggestions

go with 3sgte its a good motor and probally less custom work compare to 2jz and there'a ton of aftermarket part if you decide to build the motor.

the amount of money that you are going to spend to get this done would give you a 3sgte pushing over 500hp! Tweak could probably do the whole swap for 6k. Check out his website http://www.phoenixtuning.com. With minor modifications, you could have 300 to the wheels and the 2jz only pushes out like 315 or so at the crank. Just guessing but I'm sure you are probably going to pay around 3k for the motor, another 2-3k on parts, and only god knows how much for all that custom labor. Save yourself the headache and do a 3sgte swap instead.

the 2JZ from the supra pushes 315 crank, the 2JZ/VVT-i from the IS300 pushes about 215... can you say WTF Toyota

and don't get me wrong, the 2jzgte would be sick as hell in a corolla but money wise, it isn't the best bang for the buck. 3sgte's aren't common in corollas either though.

there are a few that ive heard of, and with that block the rolla was making about 350 WHP, which is damn good in a car this light

not to mention FWD?!?!? all you will be doing is 40mph roll races and hope you dont spin 3rd. Also, v6 power with all that weight. Our car is already unbalanced. How much more does the 2jz weigh?

Money is the question and that's why thats the first thing i asked.

exactly, a few. they aren't like 20 valve swaps or even my 4agze swap. some people are all "oooo, a supra motor in my corolla" but i dont know if they know how much work has to go into it. I'd expect this project to run well over 10k if he goes through with it.

if he has all the $ to spend I wont object. In fact, I would be one of those people who would say "oooohhhh a supra engine in a corolla" and appreciate the hard work and all custom labor done to it.

Get a 2ZZGE and the 6-speed for it. That would be plenty of power.

ohh well they called me and they said without the engine, custom labour will be at least.. 1500$ they told me there will be alot of custom things that will have to be done. i really just want a fast engine a daily driver and something i wont have to maintain too much.
if a 3sgte is good enough and its worth it id rather save money and go for it. but looking at the engine it seems like there is two types of engines 3gste celica turbo 4wd and the 3sgte Mr2 turbo which one is better

the only corolla's that 2jz's have gone into (that I have EVER) seen are RWD applications -- meaning ae86's, TE's, KE's, etc... they are also a common swap in early RWD celicas and older Supras/Supra celicas.

I'm going to guess that keeping the car FWD wouldn't even work. The length of the I6 is too long, let alone adding a trans.

Only way it would go in your car is if you make it RWD. Then maybe it's doable.... but you will swill have to worry about cutting up 1/2 of the floor to fit the trans and driveline... then would have to worry about moving the fuel tank as you would have to put a rear end in (plus 100% custom suspension front and back).

After all is said and done, a 2jz in a corolla body has been noted to be fast, but handle poorly because it throws the weight off so much up front.

there are 3 versions of the 3sgte... generally go by 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen. The alltracs (Celicas) came with AWD driveline setups which would take a lot of customization to work. Your best bet is an S series from an MR2 with modified linkages to fit FWD (easy enough) or an S series from a camry/celica.

this is a much more feasible swap. Do your homework before buying a motor, though.

Yeh thats why i am asking the experts here.
all you guys know more then me. if the mr2 engine is good then yes i will go for it. especialy if there is less custom work to be done. thanks. guys

but one questions till i do get the engne all the parts such as turbo or intercooler etc.. would i need to buy it for that engine. because from what i am aware of when i go to a parts store such as Blitz or anything like that they ask me for the type of car not the engine. and im also cosidering the 2ZZGE and supercharge it i heard it can go all the way to 300 hp! if any info with that then it will be much appreciated:):):)

so money is an issue. Bang for the buck is definitely NOT 2jz. 2zz's are no slouch. Look at the new lotus, dont they have 2zz's in them?

soo wait? ur putting a jz series engine into a corolla? hmm that would be crazy but then i dont know how that would work for a FWD car, the block would be too long to fit into the compartment especially when you include the transmission

Are the prices on the website in the first post reasonable? I don't really know how much motors go for, but those prices include the transmission. So it sounds like a good deal.

Narrow down your choices MstwntdFlip. 2zz-ge would be good for higher rpm powerband, but if you feel you need some torque, your 1zz built and turbo would also be a good choice. 3sgte is pretty rare for a corolla and it has been done and plenty of power can be made as well.

I've taken some measurements, gotta extend the front of the frame by 6" just to fit the 2jz block in our cars. and rwd swap is a must.

    doable for $15-20K

ok ive narrowed it down. if i i go with the 3sgte celica 4awd turbo or the 3sgte Mr2 turbo.
it might not take us much money as the 2zgte but i heard it has alot of parts you can buy for it.
would that be a good choice. and why is it rare for the corolla the 3stge?

rofl, not exactly. I had the same idea and realized it was too much of a pain to bother. I might as well install a jet engine if I'm doing that much frame modification

go 3sgte mr2 turbo less work and customizing,it very rare to put a 3sgte in a 8th gen rolla because nobody have the balls and throw money to be different like you:D

personally i would build the 1zz for turbo

    built engine http://store.monkeywrenchracing.com/product_info.php?cPath=182_218_246&products_id=816
on the available option upgrade everything Camshafts:performance cams and installed(yes)
    Core exchange:A MUST!!!NO CHARGE...
    Connecting Rods: crower billet rods(yes)
    Cylinder Bores:darton sleeved block 2.0(yes)
    Port Work:ported head(yes)
Valve Spring:MWR performance valves spring and Ti retainers(yes)

for the turbo go custom either gt28(fast spool) or gt35(big power)with all of this you atleast make 400hp+ with a good tune and less expensive compare dropping a 3sgte or especially 2jz other than that if you really want to be different go 3sgte.

Where are you located? I would talk to Dr.Tweak at www.phoenixtuning.com which is his website dedicated to Toyota swaps. He is located in Savannah, GA and has people coming from all over the country for his work. There was a Corolla from New York when I was there getting an auto to manual swap and a custom turbo setup. He did my 4agze swap and my twincharge setup.
